Balemaster® balers
put more green in your pocket.
If you are not baling your waste now, or if you are baling manually, then
you’re spending too much time handling empty cardboard boxes. Balemaster®
balers can do the work for you. Balemaster® wide-mouth auto-ty balers send
money to your bottom line in many ways. Here are just two:
1. Conventional hand tying takes 7 to 10 minutes per bale. But Balemaster®
auto-ty balers process cardboard waste into a dense bale that is
automatically and securely tied in less than 30 seconds.
2. Balemaster® balers produce bales with the highest density per cubic foot.
So there’s more material per volume than any other baler. This reduces
annual baling wire costs and maximizes recycling revenue per load.
Balemaster® balers are engineered to save energy, improve efficiency, reduce
wire usage, and lower maintenance costs. Being green is good business. But
pocketing green is even better.
Don’t crunch the numbers any other way.
Parcel analytics tool: Omnichannel supply chain solutions company Saddle Creek
Logistics Services has launched a new parcel
analytics tool that will drive supply chain
efficiencies and bottom-line savings for the
company’s high-volume parcel clients, the
logistics service provider says.
An alternative to traditional spreadsheets,
the new tool provides users with a unified
database of all their carrier invoice data.
Cloud-based software facilitates freight-bill
auditing, streamlines invoicing for parcel shipments, and provides dashboards for client
billing and reporting through an intuitive web
portal.
The software gives users visibility to parcel
spend, including accessorial charges and shipping across time, as well as the ability to monitor proof-of-delivery and billing. Activity can
be viewed by week, month, quarter, or year.
The data can help users identify trends
based upon service or recognize certain factors that might increase accessorial charges.
It can also help them understand how peak
periods drive carrier selection and volumes.
It will be particularly valuable for companies
interested in establishing a multi-carrier strategy, according to Saddle Creek.
Information like this is not currently available via a web portal from carriers, and
purchasing the software can be costly for
shippers. Saddle Creek is offering the capability free of charge to clients that ship a high
volume of parcel orders on the company’s
account. (Saddle Creek, www.sclogistics.com)
Color label printers: Electronics company Epson has introduced four new
ColorWorksC6000 series color label printers:
the ColorWorks C6000A, C6000P, C6500A,
and C6500P. The first printers specifically
designed for industrial customers upgrading
to color from black-only thermal transfer
printers, the new Color Works models deliver
on-demand four- or eight-inch color labels at
a price that’s comparable to their black-only
counterparts, the manufacturer says.
Engineered for mission-critical applications,
the reliable printers speed through labels
at up to five inches per second, according
to Epson. The models, which feature up to
1,200 dpi resolution, produce crisp images
that are comparable to pre-printed labels.
The eight-inch models—the ColorWorks
CW-C6500A and CW-C6500P—are currently
available, while the four-inch printers—the
CW-C6000A and CW-C6000P—are available
for pre-order and will ship in April. (Epson,

Automatic box packaging system: Quadient, a division of automated packaging
specialist Neopost, has launched CVP Everest, a system that auto-boxes 1,100 custom-fit packages per hour and requires only one or two operators.
The CVP Everest is a high-velocity automated packaging technology that measures, constructs, seals, weighs, and labels each single- or multi-item order with
either soft or hard goods in one seamless process. The solution uses a gluing system
to affix a custom-fit lid to each package for a faster fulfillment operation. (Quadient,
