ProMat 2017, finding the tools, technologies, or
services that interest you can be a challenge.
Show planners have organized the 300,000 square feet
of exhibit space into solution-specific centers. Four of these
centers—Manufacturing & Assembly, Fulfillment & Delivery,
Information Technology, and the Knowledge Center—are
located in the South Hall of McCormick Place, while two new-this-year centers—Autonomous Vehicles and the Sustainable
Facility—will be located in the North Hall (adjacent to the
co-located Automate 2017 show). Here’s a brief description
of what you will find in each section:
Manufacturing & Assembly Solutions Center
In this center, you will find material handling, logistics, and
supply chain solutions designed for companies seeking more
efficient products for manufacturing and assembly operations.
Fulfillment & Delivery Solutions Center
This center showcases solutions designed to support order
fulfillment, order picking and packaging, third-party logistics,
warehousing, distribution, and transportation operations.
Information Technology (IT) Solutions Center
In this center, you’ll find companies offering IT solutions or
consulting services that support or are integrated with manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain processes.
Among the technologies showcased here are IT and supply
chain visibility solutions.
The Knowledge Center—including educational confer-
ence opportunities
ProMat’s Knowledge Center offers education opportunities
and resources to build awareness of what the material handling and logistics industry has to offer. In this center, visitors
can choose from 100 expert-led sessions covering a broad
array of material handling and logistics topics.
Autonomous Vehicles Solutions Center
Driverless (or autonomous) vehicles are leading-edge technologies that are disrupting traditional supply chains and
creating more-efficient, next-generation models. This is the
center where you can see, touch, and operate these solutions,
including automated storage and retrieval systems, automatic guided vehicle systems, driverless trucks, delivery drones,
and automated crane technologies.
Sustainable Facility Solutions Center
In this center, you’ll find solutions designed to reduce the
energy consumption and carbon footprint of your operations. These solutions include alternative and renewable
energy and fuel systems, recyclable packaging and shipping
materials, energy-efficient lighting, high-volume/low-speed
(HVLS) fans, energy-efficient equipment and sensors, daylighting technologies, sustainable facility planning services,
and power-regeneration technologies.
