International Paint names coatings manager

International Paint has promoted Laura Costello to the position of manager, strategic marketing protective coatings North America. In this role, Costello will be responsible for leading a two-year effort to integrate Devoe high performance coatings into the International paint protective coatings business. In addition, she will be responsible for the marketing of all International Paint protective coatings brands including Ceilcote, Enviroline, Chartek, International Paint Protection Coatings and Devoe High performance Coatings. Costello is a 19 year veteran of the protective coatings industry, most recently serving as the director marketing, Americas until her current promotion.

MANAGER, REGIONAL DIRECTORS

Andrea Valenti has been appointed global oilfield chemicals and coatings business manager for Eliokem. Valenti began his career with the company in 1986 as sales representative for Southern Europe and the Middle East. In 2004, he was appointed global marketing manager for oilfield chemicals, an office he will still hold together with his new assignment.

Eliokem has also appointed regional directors in the U.S., India, China and Asia Pacific. John Malloy has been appointed regional director for the U.S. He joined Eliokem in 2002 as director of finance and administration. He will retain those duties along with the new

assignment. Lester Liu has been appointed regional director for China. Liu joined Eliokem in 2004 as manager of the company’s new plant in Ningbo, China. Deepak Birje has been appointed regional director for India. In 1998, he set up the India Liaison office for Goodyear Chemicals (later Eliokem) where he was responsible for sales and marketing of products manufactured in the Le Havre, Akron and Ningbo plants. He was also involved in Eliokem’s acquisition of Apar’s Polymer Division Valia Plant in India in 2008. Terence Poon has been appointed regional director for Asia Pacific. He joined the company in 1983, where he has worked in a number of capacities including sales and marketing and management. CW
