Ceilcote brand launched worldwide

International Paint LLC, an AkzoNobel company, has announced that its specialty linings and coatings brand, Ceilcote, is available to protective coatings customers throughout Europe, Asia and the Netherlands.

“As the demand for high-perform-ance protective coatings continues to escalate in strategic parts of the world, the timing was right to bring Ceilcote technology to our customers in the power, chemical, industrial and oil and gas markets overseas,” said Chris Tiernay, vice president, International Paint Protective Coatings North America.

Best known for its chemical-resistant, fiberglass and glass flake reinforcement technology, Ceilcote has been providing advanced corrosion solutions to customers for more than 80 years. Now, global customers will have access to this same technology through 15 select Ceilcote products.

“These highly durable linings and coatings will enable us to provide total coatings solutions for customers’ aggressive environments where heavy duty chemical-resistant systems are needed to protect their concrete and steel structures, and other equipment assets,” said Eddie Cheong, senior manager for Ceilcote products in Singapore.

PPG can accelerate dual color registration with CRRC and Energy Star Cool Roofbecause it is the only coatings manufacturer with registered representative color standards, including three-year test data, for all 17 CRRC color families in both polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and siliconized-polyester coating technologies. Flagship Duranar ULTRA-Cool coatings from PPG are based on PVDF technology. Superl II ULTRA-Cool coatings by PPG are made with siliconized-polyester resins. PPG LAUNCHES CRRC, ENERGY STAR
COLOR REGISTRATION INITIATIVE

PPG Industries can now help metal roof manufacturers expedite registration of their cool roof coating colors with the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and the Energy Star Cool Roof program, enabling them to promote tax credits and meet “green” building criteria.
