PPG Industries has appointed Kevin
Braun vice president of industrial coatings, Americas, effective immediately,
replacing Richard Zoulek, who has left
the company.
Braun was most recently appointed
vice president, global raw materials and
Americas purchasing.
Braun, who joined PPG in 1991, also
has served as PPG’s general manager,
silica products, and general manager,
architectural coatings, Australia/New
Zealand. Previously, he held roles of increasing commercial responsibility in
industrial coatings, fiber glass and architectural coatings in the U.S.
Michael Cash To Head
Axalta Industrial Coatings
Businesses
Michael A. Cash has joined Axalta
Coating Systems as senior vice president
and president, industrial coatings.
In this newly created position, Cash
will be responsible
for developing and
executing global
business strategy for
customer segments
in which Axalta already holds strong positions with well established brands.
Cash will oversee three core business segments, some of which use both
Axalta liquid and powder coatings.
Transportation customers include manufacturers of heavy duty trucks, body
builders, rail cars and other non-automo-tive vehicles. General industrial customers
include, among others, manufacturers of
electrical equipment, oil and gas pipelines
and agricultural equipment. Architectural
and decorative customers include producers of windows, doors and cladding
as well as furniture and appliances.
Prior to joining Axalta, he was manag-
ing director, powder coatings - Asia Pacific
Region at AkzoNobel Coatings and
Chemicals where he was responsible for
the company’s powder coatings business
in eleven countries and oversaw twelve
manufacturing facilities. Previously, he
was in charge of AkzoNobel’s powder
business throughout the Americas.
Cash also held a number of positions at The Sherwin-Williams Company.
He was vice president, Automotive
International, where he was responsible
for sales and general management in all
markets outside the U.S. and Canada.
He was vice president, Automotive
Marketing, responsible for marketing
strategy for the company’s refinish, commercial vehicle and OEM plastics businesses and previously was vice president
and chief financial officer for its joint
venture with Herberts GmbH, which was
then a Hoechst company.
Christopher Cerimille Joins
Grace Matthews, Inc.
Christopher D. Cerimele has joined Grace
Matthews, Inc.’s Chemical Investment
Banking Group as managing director.
Cerimele will advise corporate clients on
mergers, acquisitions, capital markets,
valuation services, fairness opinions and
strategic alternative reviews. Prior to
joining Grace Matthews, he was head
of the chemicals practice at Houlihan
Lokey. He previously held positions with
Credit Suisse First Boston and Lincoln
International, where he started and led
their chemicals group.

Wagner Industrial Solutions
Wagner Industrial Solutions, a company
specializing in liquid and powder coating application technology has hired
Jennifer Bochenek as a purchasing agent.
She brings more than 15 years of experience in purchasing/procurement with
both national and international suppliers,
allowing her to assist Wagner with reducing costs, managing inventory levels and
expediting delivery of goods.
Taminco Names Bill Rouse
National Accounts Manager
Taminco BVBD has appointed Bill Rouse
as national accounts manager. A chemist
himself, Rouse brings his nearly 25 years
of experience to Taminco.
Most recently, Rouse served as accounts manager for Air Products, where
he managed a seven-state territory to consistent sales growth.
Sika Announces Personnel
Appointments
Sika Automotive Division USA has appointed Surry Fry program manager for
the Automotive Engineering Group, reporting to Ray Helferty, engineering manager. Fry will be responsible for managing
all program activities related to product
launch efforts across customer platforms.
Prior to joining Sika, Fry was employed by Chrysler Corporation for
twenty-five years in a variety of management roles related to vehicle builds and
launches. Fry is experienced with paint
and sealing, air leakage issues; interior
and exterior trim; buzz, squeak and rattle
issues; water test; and adhesive and sealant issues.
Sika Corporation, Research and
Development USA announced Christine
Adams joined Sika Industry and
Automotive as a research and development technician. Adams will report to
Leslie Wolschleger, group leader, thermoplastic technologies. Prior to joining Sika,
Adams was employed by DTE Energy
as a laboratory analyst and by Foamade
Industries as a quality control technician.
H.B. Fuller Elects Hilado to
its Board of Directors
H.B. Fuller Company elected Maria
Teresa Hilado as an independent member
to its board of directors. Hilado’s position expands the board to nine directors,
eight of whom are independent. Hilado
is currently senior vice president, finance,
