Modular battery chargers: Material han-
dling equipment maker Crown Equipment
Corp. has introduced the V-HFM3 Series
of modular battery chargers for lead-acid
and lithium-ion batteries. The chargers are
designed to help facility and maintenance
managers reduce energy costs and extend
the life of their forklift batteries. The V-HFM3
Series, which is part of Crown Equipment’s
full line of V-Force forklift chargers, batteries,
and accessories, is available in
North America and will roll out
globally in the next few months.
According to Crown, users
gain energy savings through the
V-HFM3 Series’ 97-percent efficiency performance level, which
is higher than what you’d see
with similar high-frequency chargers. The
chargers feature automatic voltage-sensing
technology that identifies a battery upon
connection and applies the correct charging
profile from 24 to 96 volts without the use
of a monitoring device. The V-HFM3 Series
models are lighter in weight than prior models, the company says.
Accessories include a wired remote control
for facilities storing chargers above batteries or in hard-to-reach locations, a tower
light kit for viewing charging status from a
distance, and a battery-monitoring identification device for greater control of battery
health and longevity through more advanced
reporting capabilities, simplified equalization
approaches, and temperature adjustment for
variable environments. (Crown Equipment

Hazmat labels for extreme conditions:
Labelmaster, a manufacturer of products,
services, and technology for the safe and
compliant transport of dangerous goods
(DG) and hazardous materials (hazmats), has
released hazmat labels, placards, and marks
for extreme conditions. Designed to withstand cold, ultraviolet (UV) and solvent exposure, and wet and oily surfaces, these durable
labels, placards, and marks can endure harsh
supply chain conditions without fading, deteriorating, or lifting, the company says.
Made to suit specific customer needs, these
labels feature superior adhesion and resistance that can withstand exposure to a wide
range of elements and substances, including:
b Cold environments: With material
designed for cryogenic laboratories, these
labels, placards, and marks adhere in temperatures as low as -320 degrees F without
lifting, even with repeated changes in the
surrounding temperature, the company says.
Bar-code labeling software: Teklynx International, a supplier of bar-code and
RFID (radio-frequency identification) labeling software solutions, has announced
the launch of its 2019 bar-code labeling solutions. The 2019 versions of the company’s Label Matrix, Labelview, Codesoft, Sentinel, and Label Archive products are
designed to help manufacturers of all sizes improve labeling efficiency and accuracy,
Teklynx says.
Enhancements to the 2019 line of bar-code labeling software solutions include
an updated GS1 wizard, TLS 1. 2 encryption for better security, and Windows Server
2019 compatibility. (Teklynx International, teklynx.com)
