Sartomer names de Wolf CEO
Sartomer Company named Marcel de
Wolf chief executive officer, succeeding Luigi
Colantuoni, who
accepted a new
assignment with
Sartomer’s parent
company, Total
S.A., in Paris. In Marcel de Wolf
the new position, de
Wolf will report to Bernard Pinatel,
chief executive officer of Cray Valley,
the resins division of Total specialty
chemicals branch. He will be responsible for general management of
Sartomer. He will focus on the company’s continued global expansion, particularly new investment projects in the
Far East, the Americas and Europe.
From 2006-2008, de Wolf was vice
president of the coatings resins group
for Cook Composites and Polymers
(CCP), a sister company of Sartomer
within Total specialty chemicals
branch. In that position, de Wolf was
responsible for CCP’s liquid and powder resins, emulsions and additives
businesses.
Previously, de Wolf held various
management positions with
SigmaKalon BV, including assignments in Europe, the Middle East and
Asia. He also served as president/CEO
of Sigma Coatings USA.
GEITNER TO HEAD UP HENKEL’S
ADHESIVES BUSINESS UNIT
Thomas Geitner has assumed responsibility for Henkel’s adhesives technologies
business sector. Geitner, who has been a
member of the Henkel Management
Board, has had a successful career in the
technologies and telecommunication
businesses. He held senior management
positions in international companies.
Following assignments at Heidelberger
Druckmaschinen AG and Lybold AG, he
was a member of the management board
of RWE AG. Subsequently, for approximately seven years Geitner was a member of the board of directors of Vodafone
Group PLC in UK.

HIRES KIRKNER SALES MANAGER
International Paint LLC has hired
Doug Kirkner to serve as high value
infrastructure/fire protection engineering
sales manager
throughout the
northeastern U.S.
Kirkner was recruited by International
Paint to help direct
the company’s long-term efforts for
developing brand
awareness and Doug Kirkner
growth of International’s high-performance protective and fire protection coatings within
the commercial
building markets in
that region.
Before joining
International Paint,
Kirkner served as Jose Luna
senior architectural
fireproofing salesman at W.R. Grace for
20 years.
International has also hired Jose
Luna to serve as oil and gas market,
manger, Americas. Luna was recruited
by International Paint to help direct
the company’s long-term efforts for
developing brand awareness and
growth of their advanced protective
coatings and fire protection products
within the oil and gas markets
throughout the America. Before joining
International Paint, Luna served as
regional business development manger
and director of engineering at ICI
Paints Devoe Coatings.
TROY MAKES CHANGES
Troy Corp. has appointed Susan
Ostrowski director of biocides products
marketing USA, reporting to Mark
Gwillim, president/chief operating officer. In her role, Ostrowski will lead all
marketing efforts of the Troy USA biocide business.
Ostrowski began
her professional
career as a research
associate and subsequently held positions as plant engineer, production
supervisor and tech- Susan Ostrowski
nical sales rep at
DuPont. She then
joined BASF as
product manager.
Most recently, she
served as associate
director, commercial manufacturing
management at Wendy Kozel
Bristol-Myers
Squibb Company.
Wendy Kozel and
Charles Malloy have
joined Troy Corp.. as
regional sales managers. They will
both report to
Joseph Galimi, Charles Malloy
director, U.S. sales. Kozel’s focus will primarily entail sales management of Ohio-based strategic national accounts. In this
capacity she will coordinate business initiatives between sales, marketing and
development and operations. Malloy’s
focus will primarily entail sales management of east coat sales region as well as
strategic national accounts for Troy. In
this capacity he will coordinate business
initiatives between sales, marketing,
