Thompson’s Water Seal forms partnership
to support Grand Canyon National Park
Thompson’s Water Seal has announced a new part- nership to support Grand Canyon National Park as part of their VIP (Very Important Places) program. Thompson’s Water Seal will work with the Grand
Canyon Association, donating funds and products to help
protect and preserve wood structures around the Park.
Initially, Thompson’s Water Seal Wood Protectors will be
used on projects such as new log construction at the
entrance station, on Inner Canyon signs and trail bridges,
on visitor benches and picnic tables and on privacy fences.
While stunning scenery and wildlife are the primary
draw for our National Parks, they also have many build-
ings and structures that serve guests and Park staff, such
as hotels, housing, stores, visitor’s centers, campgrounds,
viewing platforms, outdoor theaters for Ranger presenta-
tions, barns and corrals, boardwalks and more. All of the
National Parks face a severe backlog of maintenance
projects, according to the company.
