Four wheelin’: A new AC drive system is
now standard on Bendi Electric 4 Wheel
Forklifts. The new drive offers improved control, smoother driving, and higher energy efficiency. The vehicle also features improved
traction and controllability on ramps, as well
as faster lift and travel speeds.
This new model meets the demands of
any warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing
environment. Four different models are
offered—B30AC, B40AC, B45AC, and B45AC-
HL—with capacities from 3,000 to 4,500
pounds, and lift heights to 432 inches.
The lift trucks also have an integrated
braking and regeneration ability. Brushes in the motors are eliminated, providing longer life and reducing maintenance requirements. Any system faults are displayed directly on the vehicles’
dash. (Landoll Corp., (800) 428-5655, www.Landoll.com/mhp)

What’s the status? Southeastern Freight Lines, a regional less-than-truckload carrier specializing in next-day service in the
Southeast and Southwest, is now providing all of its customers
with the same real-time shipping status reports typically available
only to high-volume customers via electronic data interchange
(EDI). Customers sign up to receive these reports through
Southeastern’s secure “My SEFL” Web site. The shipping status
reporting enhancements include e-mail notification and an option
for text message notification to PDAs or mobile phones.
In addition, Southeastern Freight Lines has added the capability for
customers to modify shipping information through its online Bill of
Lading System. This feature allows customers to modify these documents as many times as necessary up to the time the shipment is
actually tendered to Southeastern. This gives customers the flexibility
to correct a mistake, add freight to an existing BOL, change the shipment date, hold a shipment, or make other modifications. Customers
can also enter BOLs with future dates so they can work on tomorrow’s shipments today. (Southeastern Freight Lines, www.sefl.com)
