rollouts
Great rates: Transite Technology, a provider of transportation management solutions,
has launched a service known as My Freight Rates. This new service aggregates the
best rates from numerous 3PLs and enables brokers and shippers to easily access
these rates for real-time shipments.
When brokers or shippers need a price, they can access My Freight Rates to determine the lowest per-shipment charges offered by participating 3PLs. Transite developed new “AggreRater” technology to mine all the 3PL data in real time to identify the
lowest-priced services. (Transite Technology, www.transite.com)

Version 8.0, a warehouse control system that
optimizes material handling systems. This new
version incorporates additional management
tools that provide multilevel visibility, enhanced

features for configurability. FortnaWCS users
also benefit from an upgraded support infrastructure that was implemented in 2008. Along
with providing 24/7/365 total system support,
the company now offers online tracking and
resolution of support calls. Fortna also provides
onsite audits (system “health checks”) and
remote system diagnostics.
Fortna WCS is a robust, scaleable, and flexible
software solution, according to the company. It
seamlessly integrates material handling equipment and systems, and provides a single point
of integration for maintenance, configuration,
support, and upgrades. The enhancements to
FortnaWCS Version 8.0 include new Web-based dashboards to monitor and view alerts;
improved voice, light, and RFID processing;
and enhanced uptime metrics from an
