Komatsu Forklift U.S.A.— Corporate Profile
Since it’s restructuring in 2009, U.S. production of
Komatsu forklifts at Komatsu America’s Newberry South
Carolina manufacturing operation has continued to
grow. The Newberry Manufacturing Operation is
building the vast majority of Komatsu models currently
being sold and serviced by Komatsu’s North American
distribution channel. Further organizational integration in
2011 saw the utility and forklift businesses under Komatsu Utility become part of Komatsu Ltd. under an absorption-type merger. This move, intended to strengthen product competitiveness and improve the efficiency of their product
development, will allow Komatsu to conduct the utility and forklift business as one organization.
