Balemaster® balers
put more green in your pocket.
If you are not baling your waste now, or if you are baling manually, then
you’re spending too much time handling empty cardboard boxes. Balemaster®
balers can do the work for you. Balemaster® wide-mouth auto-ty balers send
money to your bottom line in many ways. Here are just two:
1. Conventional hand tying takes 7 to 10 minutes per bale. But Balemaster®
auto-ty balers process cardboard waste into a dense bale that is
automatically and securely tied in less than 30 seconds.
2. Balemaster® balers produce bales with the highest density per cubic foot.
So there’s more material per volume than any other baler. This reduces
annual baling wire costs and maximizes recycling revenue per load.
Balemaster® balers are engineered to save energy, improve efficiency, reduce
wire usage, and lower maintenance costs. Being green is good business. But
pocketing green is even better.
Don’t crunch the numbers any other way.

Autonomous picking solution:
Robotics and supply chain automation company GreyOrange has beta-launched its new-gen Butler PickPal, an autonomous picking
solution. The Butler PickPal is powered by
artificial intelligence (AI) and works seamlessly
with the goods-to-person GreyOrange Butler
robotics system, which allows warehouses to
manage high-speed operations by automating order picking and fulfillment.
Designed to revolutionize the auto-fulfill-ment process, the Butler PickPal can reduce
the time required for order fulfillment by
identifying and picking products from shelves
quickly and accurately. According to the
company, the PickPal robot works alongside
a warehouse operator to pick, consolidate,
and fulfill orders. Together, the human and
robot can achieve 500 to 600 picks per hour,
easily doubling the throughput from the same
picking station, the manufacturer says.
The innovative combination of a scanning
system and a six-axis robotic arm delivers a
solution that cuts down on the time required
for processing orders, according to the company. The Butler PickPal uses machine vision
algorithms to identify the stock-keeping unit
(SKU) to be picked from the shelves. Using
AI-based order processing, it can manage up
to 48 orders at the same time.
The Butler PickPal can handle different
packaging types such as boxes, pouches,
bottles, and vacuum-sealed packages. It can
grasp items weighing up to four kg ( 8. 8
pounds).
The new Butler PickPal will be deployed
in selected sites by mid-year. (GreyOrange,

Robotic picking system: Swisslog has
introduced ItemPiQ, a system designed for
repeated reliable single-item picking to fulfill
orders quickly at a low operational cost. It is
ideal for the requirements of companies in
the e-commerce, retail, and pharmaceutical
industries, the manufacturer says. With parent company Kuka’s LBR iiwa robot and its
sensitive handling properties, ItemPiQ can
pick and place fragile items, and offers intuitive operation. The robot is mounted on a
space-efficient portable platform containing
all the necessary equipment.
ItemPiQ can pick a broad variety of items
recognized by the intelligent vision system,
which is able to detect grasping points of
unknown items and thus simplify the learning
process. The system, which can cope with
changing assortments, can pick up to 600
items per hour depending on their size, shape,
and weight. (Swisslog, www.swisslog.com)
Automated decline system: Dematic, a supplier of integrated supply chain
automated technology, software, and services, has announced a new solution for
customers looking to save space and improve product handling. The new Roller
Non-Contact Accumulation (RNCA) Decline allows systems to accumulate and
decline items on a single conveyor, reducing cycle time.
The RNCA Decline combines accumulation, transport, and decline functions,
which the company says can reduce cycle times in a smaller space. This technology
is ideal for urban areas where space is expensive and same-day delivery is expected,
according to the manufacturer. (Dematic, www.dematic.com)
