The Southworth PalletPal® Pallet Inverter is the fast, safe, economical way
to rotate pallet loads. The pressure-adjustable clamp secures loads up to
48" x 48" x 60" and weighing up to 4,400 lbs. and rotates them 180°.
The uses are endless…
• Transferring to or from in-house to shipping pallets or slip sheets
• Replacing damaged items at the bottom of a load
• Turning inventory for freshness
• Replacing broken pallets

Pallet flow lane: Mallard Manufacturing
Corp. has introduced Extend-a-Rail, a mobile
expandable pallet flow lane that provides
temporary pallet staging where and when it’s
needed. The product answers the need for
more efficient dock staging, assembly, and
wave picking applications, according to the
company.
Extend-a-Rail rolls into place as a compact
telescoped unit that expands into a dense
push-assisted lane up to 10 pallets deep.
Once the device is locked in place and fully
extended, pallets are loaded at one end and
then walked or pushed along wheeled tracks
to the opposite end for forklift extraction.
After the pallets are removed, the lane folds
back into place either to be stored or to be
moved to the next activity area. (Mallard
Manufacturing Corp., www.mallardmfg.com)
Pallet shipper system: Pelican
BioThermal, a provider of temperature-con-trolled packaging solutions, has introduced
its advanced passive pallet shipping system,
Crēdo Cargo. The reusable system, which
is available for either purchase or rent, uses
phase change material (PCM) coolants, incorporates an innovative slot-in system mechanism designed for rapid loading and unloading, and ensures temperature stability for more
than five days. The unit is designed specifically
to accept a full ISO pallet. (Pelican Bio Thermal

Robotic pallet solutions: Automated
material handling systems provider Intelligrated
has introduced several comprehensive robotic
palletizing and depalletizing solutions.
The company’s robotic palletizing solutions build stable pallet loads for wholesale distribution or retail replenishment, with
advanced functionality like mixed-load pallets
and labels-out configuration for store display.
The full-layer depalletizing products leverage specialized end-of-arm tooling, a layer
separator table, a kicker-roller, V-belt skew
conveyors, and unscramble and takeaway
conveyors, which are all designed and built
in-house, to unload full pallet layers, singu-late individual cases, and transport to downstream processes.
Intelligrated’s robotic unitizing solutions
build pallet loads not on pallets, but directly
onto conveyors or slipsheets.
The stack-and-wrap robotic palletizing
products incrementally stretch wrap loads as
each layer is built to secure unstable or diffi-cult-to-handle loads by integrating palletizing
and stretch wrapping. (Intelligrated, www.

Bulk containers: Third-party container company Murphy Industrial Products
Inc. has introduced its Green Fleet collapsible containers, a line of reusable
steel intermediate bulk containers that are suitable for bulky or heavy items.
Considered more durable than cardboard boxes or wood pallets and containers, these bulk containers fully collapse and can be erected or dismantled in less
than a minute, the company says. The steel walls provide added strength so
containers can be stacked up to four high. (Murphy Industrial Products, www.
