Flexible chain conveyors: Conveyor manufacturer Dorner has
consolidated two existing product lines and unified them into
a single platform, which is now called FlexMove. While the
FlexMove name isn’t new to Dorner, the line now incorporates
the features and strengths of the former SmartFlex conveyor line
along with the FlexMove units. The
consolidation makes specifying and
ordering a much easier experience for
distributors and customers around the
world as the conveyor is fully supported from Dorner’s four global manufacturing facilities (in the U.S., Germany, Malaysia, and Mexico).
These aluminum-frame flexible chain conveyors are ideal for
applications where floor space is limited as they are designed
to make tight 360-degree turns in and around machinery and
equipment, the company says. The conveyors are available with
speeds of up to 250 feet per minute and load capacities of up
to 600 pounds.
FlexMove conveyors are available in three purchasing options
based on the customer’s application and situation. With the
“FlexMove Components” option, customers can order all the
necessary parts and components to build their FlexMove conveyor onsite. With “FlexMove Solutions,” Dorner builds the conveyor

Track-and-trace software upgrade: DMLogic LLC, an integrator of warehouse management systems (WMS), has released version 6. 3 of STEPLogic Trace, its traceability solution that enables
the tracking and tracing of prescription drugs across the supply
chain. In addition to meeting the requirements of the Drug Supply
Chain Safety Act (DSCSA), STEPLogic Trace now also meets the
requirements of the European Falsified Medicine Directive (FMD)
and integrates directly with European repository systems, including the German NGDA/securPharm NMVS solution.
According to the company, version 6. 3 offers the WMS
Connector, which allows for easy integration with virtually any
WMS. STEPLogic Trace runs on both Oracle and SQL Server
databases. The system can be configured for progressive support
of an operation, from capturing the serials just on the receiving/
inbound side and order management/outbound side to tracking and recording every transaction involving serial numbers
throughout the operation. (DMLogic, www.dmlogicllc.com)
