Electric lift truck: Toyota Material Handling (TMH) has introduced two additions to its lineup of sit-down counterbalanced,four-wheel electric lift trucks, saying the new 3,000- and
3,500-pound-capacity models are designed to boost both productivity and uptime.
Both models feature Toyota-designed AC motors that deliverextended runtime and performance, as well as improved ergonomics, comfort, and versatility, Toyota says. Operators will seeup to 27% faster travel and lift and lower speeds, as well as anincreased runtime of up to 12% compared with previous models.
In addition to the AC drive motor, both models feature a newAC pump motor. These motors function withreduced current draw, helping to controloverall energy and operational costs forsuperior operability. They also operatewithout the use of wearable parts suchas brushes or commutators, requiringno regular maintenance. Both motorsare designed and built by Toyota tomaximize uptime and reduce overall costof ownership. (Toyota MaterialHandling, toyotaforklift.com)
Bill-of-lading app: Supply chain consultancy TechSera hasunveiled x.BOL, a first-of-its-kind application allowing shippersand carriers to electronically sign, distribute, and file a bill of lading (BOL) from any connected device. Via a secure cloud-basedapplication, x.BOL turns a traditional paper BOL into a “smartBOL” that doesn’t require any paper. The application allows bothshippers and carriers to electronically sign the bill of lading eitherby using a finger/stylus or by using a stored default signature. Thesignature is then stored on the bill of lading just as though it hadbeen signed with ink.
The x.BOL solution also offers in-app tracking of LTL (less-than-truckload) shipments for bills of lading that were signed withinthe application. Once the driver is en route to the destination, the load can be tracked at each touchpoint/stop, while a proofof delivery can be provided within the app by connecting to theLTL carrier.
Once a BOL has been electronically signed, the document canbe easily shared via email, text, or WhatsApp messenger. The BOLcan also be saved as a PDF and printed or stored on the serverfor future reference. In addition, x.BOL has a built-in integrationwith x.SIP, TechSera’s integration platform, which allows the bill-of-lading data to be sent electronically to any system as standardEDI or API data. Narrow-aisle forklifts: Landoll Corp. has introduced the Bendinarrow-aisle forklift B40AC-DR and B50AC-DR models, whichare designed to stack standard pallets double deep from 96-inchaisles. These forklifts have a pantograph reach of 52 inches.
The Bendi Deep Reach models have lift heights to 425 inchesand a load capacity of up to 3,000 pounds in the second-deepposition. The fork carriage is capable of side shifting and tilting. Equipped with a camera that provides a view of the forksfrom the operator compartment, the trucks make handlinglarge jobs easy, the company says. These models havestandard ITA fork sizes. Nolower beams are required foroutrigger legs, and the reachattachment is integrated intothe inner mast channels.
In addition, Landoll hasadded its LSC model truck toits line of standup, compact,rear-entry electric trucks. A narrow 37-inch frame makes theLSC ideal for compact applications, the manufacturer says. The
24-volt single rear wheel drive and steer system is composed ofa single AC traction/DC pump controller that is connected to anergonomic control platform for precise maneuverability and lifting. Travel and lift control are combined on the same joystick forimproved operator comfort and control. A single hydraulic motorprovides hydraulic power for both steering and mast maneuvering. The footswitch-actuated parking brake and low step heightimprove operator safety for quick on/off dock work and otheroperations. High-visibility simplex and triplex masts are available.
