Heavy-duty casters and wheels: HamiltonCaster has introduced four caster series andfive wheel series designed to transport heavyloads safely at speeds of up to 10 mph.
The new 10-mph speed-rated SpinfinityXC Casters and Renegade Wheels are idealfor heavy industrial applications with loadrequirements ranging from 1,500 pounds to
17,500 pounds, the manufacturer says.
The Spinfinity XC Caster series are engineered with mounting plate and inner raceways that are forged steel formed fromone piece then CNC (computer numericalcontrol)-machined to provide a raceway forhigh-speed conditions. Company engineersenhanced the casters with larger axles andmassive double-stacked precision ball bearings in the wheels to accommodate thehigher speeds. Mindful of avoiding any downtime, the engineers took the design a stepfurther and added a new “V-Seal” for theswivel raceway. The new enhanced sealedraceway combined with the sealed precisionball bearings in the wheel qualify the castersto be 100% maintenance-free, the companysays. All four caster series are offered in sin-gle-wheel and dual-wheel configurations.
To pair with the new Spinfinity XC Casterrigs, Hamilton has introduced five heavy-dutyRenegade Wheels, offering three differentpolyurethane compounds and two differentrubber compounds to cover a wide spectrumof industrial environments. (Hamilton Caster,www.hamiltoncaster.com)
E-commerce mailer: Texwrap says its e-Pack
3322 Auto-Mailer is designed to improvee-commerce fulfillment profitability by reducing labor and materials costs as well as shipping errors. The device automatically bagsand labels 15 to 20 orders per minute. Itwraps and seals products in tear-resistantpolyethylene shipping film, forming a customized bag for each order. Custom-sized bagsreduce material consumption and minimizedimensional measurements—reductions thatimprove the overall profitability of the shipping operation, the company says.
The e-Pack 3322 features Allen-Bradleycontrols that ensure reliable integration tothe operation’s warehouse management system for seamless communication on orderdetails and status. The unit’s high-speedautomated verification system ensures thecorrect shipping label is attached to everyorder. Automated verification also eliminatesscenarios where an incorrectly addressedpackage causes a cascade of address errors toripple through the order fulfillment operation.

Updated ELD: GeoSpace Labs, a provider of driver hours-of-service logging systems and tools, has launched version 5.0 of its suite of ELDs (electronic loggingdevices). In addition to compliance with required federal regulations, the ELD devicenow gathers and reports in real time all data provided by the truck’s engine controlunit (ECU). This includes a complete history of driver, fuel, emissions, and enginediagnostic data.
Version 5.0 incorporates modifications made in response to an extensive driverfeedback project conducted in 2019, where hundreds of drivers suggested tweaksand provided input on usability. (GeoSpace Labs, geospacelabs.com)
