Collision warning system: Sentry Protection Products has upgraded its Collision Sentry collision warning system to feature a more focused, more intense warning light for increased visibility. The LED lights were repositioned and the diffusing lens was replaced with one that concentrates the focus of the light beam toward the areas where people can best see it, increasing the intensity of the beam anywhere from five to 20 times. Sentry was able to boost the light’s intensity without compromising energy efficiency.

Collision Sentry was designed to create a safer working environment in industrial settings by reducing or eliminating “blind corner” collisions that occur when forklift traffic and pedestrian traffic intersect. When motion is detected on both sides of the corner, creating conditions for an accident, the Collision Sentry visually alerts approaching traffic, stopping accidents before they happen.

Lift truck scale: Finding an accurate and affordable solution to capturing weight on a pallet jack has been an industry challenge. Smart camera: Cognex Corp. has introduced the In-Sight Micro 8000 series smart cameras, a new family of ultra-compact standalone vision systems. The In-Sight Micro

8000 series delivers vision tool performance at PC speeds, all in the form factor of a traditional “dumb” GigE Vision camera.

Designed to help customers optimize resolution, speed, and performance, the cameras can reduce cycle times, boost productivity, increase resolution without any loss of throughput, and perform additional inspections without increasing cycle times.

Like all In-Sight vision systems, the new models are set up with the powerful In-Sight Explorer software. This software combines the simple step-by-step EasyBuilder setup with the power and flexibility of spreadsheet view for greater control. Less-than-containerload service: Caro Trans Global, an NVOCC ( nonvessel-op-erating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, has launched 11 new direct less-than-containerload (LCL) import services between China and the U.S. The services include: Ningbo to Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Miami, Dallas, and Houston; and Xiamen to Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
