LINE-X was on hand to introduce a new addition to its roster of PAXCON force protection coatings—PAXCON PX-2100.
This latest addition is a high-performance chemical formulation designed to protect against spalling and fragmentation
during a ballistic attack.
According to the company, during a ballistic attack most
sever inuries and a significant amount of lives lost are due to
ballistic fragmentation or spalling. PX-2100 was designed to
help solve this problem by encapsulating bullets and other
ballistic objects, which will remain in-tact and pose no secondary damage. PX-2100 can be sprayed over any surface hard
enough to cause a projectile to spall, such as aluminum,
ceramic or steel.
Southern Diversified Products was present at to introduce
Mythic paint, a new paint line designed specifically to protect
user health and the environment. Mythic paint is the result of
over six years of intensive fundamental research with polymer
research partners at the University of Southern Mississippi
(USM). It is based on breakthrough patented technology that
improves latex paint at its core and has been formulated to
offer all of the premium qualities of conventional water-based
paints without the need for toxic solvents, according to the
company. This means zero VOCs, zero harmful toxins released
into the air and no unpleasant odor when painting. This line
includes a primer and flat ceiling paint in addition to flat,
eggshell, semi-gloss and exterior satin varieties.
Under the Regal banner of premium interior paints,
Benjamin Moore’s most recent advancement is its Advanced
Particle Technology (APT). The company made the 100%
acrylic resin harder and the actual particle size smaller for better packing. The result is a more durable, uniform finish, with
faster recoat time and easier touch-ups. Additionally, all Regal
products are VOC compliant to national and OTC regulations.
