Salcomix’s new VOC-compliant topcoat

Salcomix’s VOC-compliant product portfolio of cleaners, body fillers and undercoat materials now has a new component: an acrylic-based 2K topcoat.

EMPILS LAUNCHES RASTSVET DACHNAYA ENAMEL Empils has launched a series of alkyd enamels under the Rastsvet Dachnaya trademark. Rastsvet Dachnaya enamel is a brand extension of the Rastsvet product line and is positioned in Empils’ economy product segment. The line includes ten additional colors including white, blueberry, sunflower, green onion, ripe cherry, bluebonnet, silver rain, dark blue iris, coal, meadow grass and treacle brown floor enamel.

Available as a high or semi-glossy VOC-compliant topcoat, the 900/901 VOC TPC-ACR converter complements the Salcomix topcoat system for the light-industry sector. The high-gloss 900 topcoat has a maximum VOC content of 419 g/l for all colors, while the semi-glossy 901 topcoat has a maximum VOC content of 510 g/l.

In addition, the 900/901 converter has the highest spreading rate of all the Salcomix topcoats. Depending on the application technique and color, more than 30% of the material can be saved compared to MS topcoats, according to the company. Since no flash-off time is required between
