H.B. Fuller makes changes at the top
H.B. Fuller announced that Steven
Kenny will join the company as senior
vice president, EMEA (Europe, Middle
East, Africa) and India, on Oct. 5, 2009,
and Stephen Ringsdore will join the com-
pany as vice president of Western
Europe, on Sept. 1, 2009. Kenny will also
serve as a member of H.B. Fuller’s exec-
utive committee.
Kenny, 48, has built an extensive
career in the adhesives industry, having
spent 25 years with National Starch and
Chemical. Before leaving that company
in 2008, he served as corporate vice pres-
ident and general manager for National
Starch’s Adhesives Division, Europe,
Middle East, and Africa.
Ringsdore, 51, has 26 years of adhe-
sive industry experience, including 25
with National Starch and Chemical.
Since 2007, he has served as managing
director, Industrial Adhesives, China,
where he has overseen operations in
China and Taiwan.
Jan Muller, H.B. Fuller’s vice presi-
dent of EMEA since 2006, has left the
company to pursue other opportunities.

ONLINE REFERRAL SERVICE
Benjamin Moore is helping to connect
qualified painting professionals, as well
as practicing color consultants, to con-
sumers who need help with their paint-
ing projects. The LINK Referral
Program at benmoorelink.com initially
is being rolled out in D.C., Maryland
and Virginia, with plans for expansion
to other markets later this year. In cre-
ating benmoorelink.com, Benjamin
Moore established a list of qualifica-
tions that all professionals referred
from the site must meet. The vetting
process is thorough, and those accepted
must participate in Benjamin Moore-
directed training sessions, carry both
liability and vehicle insurance, be
licensed, and have a minimum of two
years experience in their profession. To
help trumpet this new service to con-
sumers, Benjamin Moore will be imple-
menting an online campaign on differ-
ent search engines such as
ServiceMagic.com, Improvenet.com,
Realestate.com, Citysearch.com,
Ask.com, HGTV.com, HGTVPro.com
and MyHomeIdeas.com. It also will be
using Yellowpages.com and Google
search to help jumpstart the program.
AKZO WINS CONTRACT TO SUPPLY
COATINGS FOR CHINESE BUS FLEET
AkzoNobel’s Car Refinishes China business has been awarded a contract by the
local government authorities in the
Chinese city of Wuhan to supply coatings
for the city’s new fleet of 1,000 hybrid
buses. The project is part of the Chinese
Government's strategy to counter the
financial crisis by stimulating the local
economy, while at the same time promoting new technology, environmental protection and energy savings. CW

YOLO COLORHOUSE LEADS NEW
ERA IN ENVIRONMENTAL PAINTS
YOLO Colorhouse has achieved Green
Seal-certification for their entire line of
interior and exterior latex paint. By
adjusting the levels of VOCs allowed in
base paint and including criteria for colorants, the new standard ensures that
even a heavily tinted paint will still contain minimum VOCs. YOLO Colorhouse
paint was previously certified under the
GS- 11 environmental standard for
Paints, but they are now the first to
achieve this new leadership level of certification under the recently revised
Green Seal GS- 11 standard for Paint
