Oxea announces price increases
Oxea will increase off-list prices on a
number of products effective September 1,
2012, or as contracts allow. In the United
States, Canada and Mexico, n propanol
will increase $0.05/lb (list price, Zone 1:
$1.45/lb), and n propyl acetate will increase $0.05/lb (list price, Zone 1:
$1.43/lb). In South and Central America,
n propanol and n propyl acetate will increase $110/mt. Customers should contact their Oxea sales representative for

Lanxess increases prices on
resins and pigments
Specialty chemicals company Lanxess glob-
ally increased its prices for ion exchange
resins and inorganic pigments effective July
1, 2012. The inorganic pigments business
unit is increasing its prices by a minimum
of € 100 per metric ton. Customers will be
contacted individually regarding the
specifics of the measure as it applies to their
products or regions. Inorganic pigments
produced by Lanxess are marketed under
the trade names Bayferrox, Bayoxide and
Colortherm. The ion exchange resins busi-
ness unit will increase its prices for its
Lewatit ion exchange resins by an average
of five percent. The precise adjustment will
depend on resin grade and region.
Evonik announces resins price
increase
Evonik Industries’ coatings and additives
business unit announced a price increase
for its range of Degadur, Degadeck and
Degament reactive resins and Degalan by
six percent, effective July 1, 2012, in all
regions worldwide. This increase will
apply to all orders shipped on or after this
date and as contracts allow.
Troy Corp. raises prices of
Micropel products
Troy Corp. announced an increase in
prices of all Micropel OBPA (
oxybisphe-noxarsine) antimicrobial products by up
to 15 percent effective June 15, 2012, or
as contracts allow. This price increase is
necessary due to escalation in the cost of
raw materials, energy, labor, packaging,
transportation and worldwide regulatory
compliance the company said. Customers
