AkzoNobel’s number one ranking on the
2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Index
(DJSI) has resulted in the award of an
Industry Leader, Gold Class distinction
for excellent sustainability performance.
The recognition also includes a listing in the 2016 Sustainability Yearbook,
which features the world’s most sustainable companies, as determined by their
score in RobecoSAM’s annual Corporate
Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
The latest DJSI ranking was published
last September, when AkzoNobel was
placed top of its sector for the fourth
year in a row. According to the firm, this
reinforced the belief that sustainability should sit at the heart of its business
strategy, while underlining the value of
its Planet Possible approach to radical resource efficiency.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
Recognizes PPG as
Sustainability Supplier of
the Year
PPG has been named Sustainability
Supplier of the Year by the Fiat Chrysler
Automobiles (FCA) Group for its Europe,
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
FCA Group annually recognizes a
long-time supplier with the award at the
Qualitas Supplier Convention in Turin,
Italy, following judging by a panel of
FCA representatives. Among approximately 1,000 suppliers, the FCA Group
selected PPG based on satisfying rigorous criteria and exhibiting a long-term
strategic commitment to a program incorporating environmental, safety, social
and economic sustainability.
“We have worked with FCA for
many years to ensure that our sustain-
ability goals are aligned,” said Jean-
Marie Greindl, president, PPG Europe,
Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and
PPG vice president, automotive coat-
ings, EMEA. “We are honored that the
company has recognized our efforts. We

nership and developing new initiatives
that support healthy environments,
communities and economies.”
