Sherwin-Williams has appointed Sue Wadden to the position of direc- tor of color marketing for its Paint
Stores Group. Wadden succeeds Jackie
Jordan, who is retiring from the company
after more than 30 years.

Sherwin-Williams,” said Karl Schmitt, se-
nior vice president of marketing, Sherwin-
Williams. “With a strong background in
design and color leadership, Sue brings a
depth of experience and accomplishments
related to color on a global scale. We look
forward to great success with Sue in this
important role.”
As the face and voice of color for
Sherwin-Williams, Wadden will be re-
sponsible for the overall vision and phi-
losophy for color leadership. She will
play a key role in leading major world
color trend forecasting for both profes-
sionals and homeowners and will oversee
the recently launched ColorSnap color
selection system, as well as the research
and development of all palettes, the an-
nual colormix color Forecast and devel-
opment of the Color of the Year. Wadden
will also serve as an editorial advisor to
Sherwin-Williams STIR magazine for de-
sign professionals and take an active role
in interfacing with consumer and trade
media on topics surrounding color.
Wadden began her career as a color
expert at Sherwin-Williams in 1998, as
a color services marketing consultant
and then became a senior color marketing designer for the company. In 2013,
Wadden moved to her most recent position as marketing manager of color
design for Sherwin-Williams Diversified
Brands Group, which includes Krylon
and Pratt & Lambert. Of her many accomplishments with Sherwin-Williams
Diversified Brands Group, Wadden
was responsible for the development of
five color systems and merchandising
programs including Sherwin-Williams
Australia and Dutch Boy.
PolyOne Announces New
Appointments
PolyOne Corporation has announced that
it has appointed Michael A. Garratt as senior vice president and chief commercial
officer, and Donald K. Wiseman as senior
vice president, president of Performance
Products & Solutions (PP&S).
In his new role, Garratt will be responsible for accelerating market-driv-en innovation, leading the company’s
proprietary POL product development
process, developing sales strategies and
training, and driving the corporate marketing function to enable future growth.
He replaces Michael E. Kahler, who has
decided to retire.
With more than 25 years of experience
in the specialty polymer sector, Garratt
joined PolyOne in 2013 as president of
PP&S. He previously served as president
at Marmon Utility and chief operating officer of Excel Polymers.
Wiseman joined PolyOne in 2015
as general manager of the company’s
Geon business unit from Johns Manville,
where he had P&L responsibility for its
Performance Materials division. He has
held leadership and general management positions at performance material
companies throughout his accomplished
career, such as at Cabot Microelectronics
Corporation, Americhem, Michelman,
and Rohm & Haas.
Chromaflo Hires New
Thermoset Team Member
Chromaflo Technologies, an independent global suppliers of colorant systems, chemical and pigment dispersions,
has announced that An Nguyen has accepted the Thermoset Americas Technical
Service Representative position.
In this role, Nguyen will provide direct technical support to Chromaflo’s
Thermoset customers and top target programs with initial focus on the urethane
market. Nguyen will be based out of the
Ashtabula, Ohio corporate office.
Nguyen was most recently the sales/
technical service manager for a company
in Singapore.
Josten Appointed
Managing Director ACTEGA
Dr. Wolfgang Josten, subsequent to
his position as managing director of
ACTEGA Colorchemie, will be appointed managing director of ACTEGA Terra,
a company which belongs to ALTANA’s
ACTEGA Coatings & Sealants division. In his new position Josten will
look after Research and Development,
Production, Quality Control, Finance
and Administration units.
As chairman of the Management
Board of ACTEGA Terra Jörg Eck will
remain responsible for dales and marketing and keep his role as global segment
head paper-based Packaging.
H.B. Fuller Names Corkrean
Executive VP and CFO
H.B. Fuller Company announced that
John Corkrean will join the company as
executive vice president and chief financial officer on May 17, 2016. Corkrean
will take over for Jim Giertz, who will
transition into a new role as executive
vice president, leading the company’s
strategy deployment efforts until his retirement in mid-2017.
Corkrean joins H.B. Fuller from
Ecolab Inc., where he has built a
successful 17-year track record of
leadership in all areas of financial management and controls.
Most recently, he was the senior
vice president of finance for their
Global Energy Services sector. During
his career at Ecolab, he served as the
company’s senior vice president and
corporate controller, vice president
and corporate treasurer, and other
significant financial and commercial
roles. He also was instrumental in
the integration of both the Nalco and
Champion acquisitions. CW
