CHINACOAT (The China International Exhibition for Coatings, Printing Inks and Adhesives), the premier event for the paint and coatings market in China, alternates
annually between Guangzhou and Shanghai. CHINACOAT has
been serving the global industry since it was first held in 1996.
According to the show’s organizers, Sinostar International, the
three-day event offers a definitive one-stop platform for visitors to source a full range of products, to gain exposure to new
trends and to become more knowledgeable about the industry
at large.
This year’s event will be comprised of more than 1,010 exhibitors from 30 countries who will display their new products
and innovations on a gross exhibit area of more than 64,000
square meters in six exhibit zones.
CHINACOAT2016 will be held November 30 – December
3 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (Canton Fair
Complex).
CHINACOAT2016 Guangzhou will have six exhibit zones:
Zone 1 (Halls 9. 3, 10. 3 & 11/3) China Raw Materials, Zone 2
(Halls 9.2, 10.2 & 11.2) International Raw Materials, Zone 3
(Hall 11.2) International Machinery, Instruments and Services,
Zone 4 (Hall 11.2) Powder Coatings Technology, Zone 5 (Hall
11.2) UV/EB Technology and Products and Zone 6 (Hall 13.2)
China Machinery, Instruments and Services.
CHINACOAT will also include the following educational programs: CHINACOAT Conference: “Exploring the
Novel Cutting-edge Coatings Technology” and two Technical
Workshops.
14th CHINACOAT Conference
The 14th annual CHINACOAT Conference will be held
November 29-30 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Exploring the Novel
Cutting-edge Coatings Technology.” According to the confer-
ence organizers, there is increasing need for coatings formula-
tions that respond to the environment in a predictable and useful
manner. Bringing novel functionalities to polymer-coating sys-
tem, smart materials will be of substantial business opportunity
in this decade. The smart coatings market is estimated to grow
from $610 million in 2015 to $5.8 billion in 2020.
This conference is designed to provide a showcase for the
dissemination of new R&D in cutting-edge technologies. Topics
included:
• Anti-Bacteria
• Dirt-Pickup
• Hybrid
• Stimuli Responsive
• Anti-Fouling
• Graphene-based
• Nanotechnology
• Superhydrophobicity
• Anti-Graffiti
• Heat Reflecting
• Smart Materials
The aim is to provide a forum to present and discuss ground-
breaking work, stimulate new ideas, identify critical problems,
provide promising solutions and assess possible roadmaps. It
will also provide an opportunity for establishing new contacts
in academic and industrial sectors in this very specialized field.
The conference’s keynote paper, “Science & Technologies
of Smart Materials Including Stimuli Responsive Coatings,”
will be presented by Dr. Jamil Baghdachi of Eastern Michigan
University, USA.
With increasing demands for polymers and coatings that can
sense their environment and be responsive, perform multifunctional tasks are in high demand globally. This paper will present
the design, development and manufacturing of these emerging
technologies and provide a thorough understanding of science
and technology and principles on innovative and cost-effective
formulations. Current global R&D activities and future trends
will be discussed.
This annual three-day event offers visitors a full range of exhibits for the paint and
coatings industry.
