Mobile duo: Intermec introduces the CN50
and CN4 rugged 3G wireless WAN (WWAN)
mobile computers for field mobility applications. The CN50 includes 3.75G WWAN
HSUPA radio technology in a small, lightweight, ruggedized housing and is suitable for
use in transportation, delivery, postal, and field
service operations. The CN4 is suitable for
operations requiring support for fully rugged
front-line transactions, including commercial
transportation, store delivery, and field service
applications. Both products offer a range of
features designed to maximize mobile worker
productivity.
The CN50 uses the latest communications
technology being deployed by network operators, and when coupled with Intermec’s new
multiprocessor architecture, delivers data
uploads up to five times faster than other
mobile computers. It features a Flexible
Network Radio that can be re-provisioned to a
different network as business needs or coverage options change.
The CN4 is a light, rugged 3.5G wireless network device designed to perform in demanding work environments. It features a six-foot
drop specification, a compact internal antenna
design, and IP64 sealing. The CN4 easily integrates with a wide range of compatible printers
and accessories for in-vehicle or stand-alone
implementation, and shares system software
and a wide range of accessories with
Intermec’s CN3 series. (Intermec Inc.,

Picky about performance: FastPic Systems, a
developer of software for automated storage
and retrieval systems, introduces the FastPic5
TXP transaction processor software. The TXP
software allows users to integrate simple
automation into an existing facility without the
overhead of maintaining duplicate inventory
systems. In addition, TXP software helps maximize the efficiencies from automated storage
and retrieval systems while an organization’s
host WMS or ERP system maintains the inventory and locations.
The software manages picking activities for a
single workstation or multiple work zones.
Real-time inventory status and detailed managerial reports allow users to manage their operations efficiently and effectively.
The transaction processor software can
direct pickers with optimized printed lists or
light-directed picking within automated equipment, maintaining control over inventory. It
allows orders to be processed individually or as
a batch to meet changing demands. (FastPic

Rising above: Custom Industrial Products has unveiled its TL series material vertical
lifts, which feature a large platform and expanded lifting capacity. The units’ modular
design makes them easy to install, according to the company.
The lifts, which are fully enclosed and have illuminated operator stations, come
with electric motors that provide quiet and efficient operation. The all-mechanical
design reduces noise and maintenance while providing a chemically clean workplace
without the use of messy hydraulic fluids. (Custom Industrial Products Inc.,

The Best Just Got Better.
Ryson just raised

conveying.
High Capacity
Spirals The

High Capacity
Spirals are in
response to
our customers
need to go higher and
handle more weight. The
new spirals handle double the
capacity of our regular spirals
and ship in one piece.
Multiple Entry Spirals The
Multiple Entry Spirals allow loads to
enter the spirals from several different
elevations. A new high speed induction
conveyor provides controlled spiral entry.
Dual Spirals The new Ryson Dual Track Spirals are
the ultimate in space savings. Two tracks operate within one
spiral structure. Each spiral has a separate drive and operates
independently. Both tracks can go up or down and can be reversible.
Quality and service come first at Ryson and we are the number one
spiral manufacturer in the USA. For application assistance or more
