; Ceva Logistics has appointed Anthony Harris senior
vice president of account management for the Americas.
Harris, who specializes in account management in a service
environment, brings 20 years of international business
experience to his new position. He most recently served as
vice president of global accounts at Flextronics.
; Robert Schafer has joined Nuvera Fuel Cells as vice
president of sales and marketing. In his new position,
Schafer will focus on the material handling and logistics
sectors, working closely with the sales and marketing team
to formulate and guide the company’s policies and strategies. Before joining Nuvera, Schafer spent over 14 years
with NACCO, where he served as managing director of
national account sales and vice president, national
accounts and government sales.
; Danny Jones has been promoted to vice
president for port management at Port San
Antonio. Jones, who was formerly airport
manager at the facility, will now be responsible for the organization’s security functions. He will also oversee operations at
Port San Antonio’s Kelly Field, the joint-use
runway the organization shares with Lackland Air Force
Base, as well as the port’s East Kelly Railport.

; Tim Pyne has joined Tompkins Associates as vice president of retail, consumer & food. Pyne’s expertise includes
domestic and international supply chain management,
operations, transportation, and logistics.
; Forte has hired Darcy Powell as director
of marketing. Powell, who most recently
served as marketing manager for the supply
chain group of TranSystems, will spearhead
client and media relations initiatives, serving
as a key resource and liaison in developing
and managing the lines of communication
between Forte and its clients and media partners.
In addition, Forte has hired Jeff Ross as vice president of
consulting. Ross, who has held leadership positions at
ESync, Miebach, and TranSystems, brings over 30 years’
experience in operations management and supply chain
consulting to his new role.

; Sky-Trax has hired Michael Kinnard as chief executive officer. Kinnard, who most recently served as senior vice president at Alexander Proudfoot Co., brings to his new position
more than 20 years of experience in startups, capitalizing new
businesses, and growing companies into market leaders.
; Hytrol Conveyor Co. Inc. has named Chuck Waddle vice
president of business development. Waddle will be responsible for expanding Hytrol’s brand awareness and capabilities through increased interaction with its integration partners and end users. Waddle brings 30 years of experience
in the material handling industry— 16 of them at the executive level—to his new position.
; Scott Weiss has been hired as Saddle Creek Corp.’s new
director of business development. Weiss, who has 15 years
of experience in supply chain logistics, will oversee the
development of new customer relationships and maintain
organic growth within existing accounts from the company’s Buena Park and Ontario, Calif., campuses.
; Paul Bingham has joined the consulting
firm Wilbur Smith Associates as practice
leader for economics. He will manage and
advise on major transportation infrastructure investment studies, fiscal analyses, and
economic impact and development analyses related to all modes of passenger and
freight movement. Bingham previously
worked at IHS Global Insight, where he served as manager
of global commerce and transportation.

; Ryder System Inc. has appointed Gregory Knott vice
president of information technology for its Supply Chain
Solutions (SCS) business segment. Knott was most recently chief information officer at Hummer in Detroit.
; Richard Hartzler is the new major projects manager at
Steel King Industries. Hartzler, who previously worked at
Excel Storage Products, brings nearly 20 years of industry
experience to his new position. He will be the primary liaison between the customer and the installer, coordinating all
aspects of the project from initial order through completion.
; Crowley Maritime Corp. has named Carl Fox vice president of strategic initiatives and marketing for its liner and
logistics business units. Fox’s responsibilities will include
overseeing the company’s vessel and infrastructure
replacement programs.
; Magno International has appointed
Chris Monica president. Monica, who will
oversee the day-to-day operations and
management of the integrated logistics
solutions provider, brings 25 years of experience in logistics and supply management
to his new position.
