Wireless intercom: The DoorCom Wireless
Intercom is designed for use at the loading dock
and receiving door. With this system, visitors can
announce themselves at the door or dock and
be answered immediately by radio-equipped
personnel.
This increases worker efficiency because no
one has to be stationed at the door waiting for
visitors to arrive. It also increases security by
reducing the likelihood that employees will
prop open doors.
The two-part system features an all-metal
speaker intercom
box, which is mounted on the outside of
the facility, and an R-series transceiver
mounted inside the
facility. The radio
transceiver, which
provides radio signal
coverage to radio-equipped personnel, has a range
of approximately 350,000 square
feet (actual range depends on building structure
and topography).
Radio-equipped personnel can receive intercom calls from practically anywhere in the building and instantly answer back using a portable
two-way radio or desk-top base station.
The system installs easily at any entry point.
