Wireless hour and alarm meter: Keytroller has unveiled the
Cyberwatch LAN, a simple, inexpensive, and easy-to-install wireless hour and alarm meter.
For locations where a Wi-Fi network connection is accessible,
the Cyberwatch LAN provides monitoring on any piece of equipment with no monthly service cost. Users can monitor usage,
idling, maintenance needs, and alerts (such as low fuel). The
product also has optional sensors for monitoring impacts, voltage, temperature, and more. In addition, the device handles a
wide variety of sophisticated encryption schemes.
Users can connect to the device, which is embedded with its
own Web browser and IP address, through the Wi-Fi network to
view data from a tablet, cellphone,
The internal and external wire-
less access point and network set-
tings are configured using a Web browser accessing the device’s
internal Web server. This is possible using the internal access
point and the external wireless network infrastructure connec-
tion. Real-time values of the hour meters and counters can be
seen at any time by direct wireless access to the device.
In forklift applications, the Cyberwatch LAN can be attached
to four different inputs on a forklift (plus input power connec-
tion from the forklift to power it). Each input will record hours/
minutes of usage when the input goes “high.” Alternatively, the
installer can simply attach the device to input power and enable
the vibration counter, which will count hours as the forklift is in
use and vibrating. All data will be sent out via e-mail through the
client’s Wi-Fi network to the same e-mail location. Once received,
the e-mails can be “scraped” and the data string removed, so
that a separate programming script can be written to deposit the
hour-meter usage data into a maintenance scheduling software
application or into an Excel spreadsheet. (Keytroller LLC, www.

Automatic bagger: PAC Machinery has introduced its Rollbag
R1285 Velocity automatic bagger featuring next-bag-out print
technology.
Marketed under PAC Machinery’s Clamco brand, the Rollbag
R1285 Velocity automatic bagger integrates an automatic bagger
platform with direct-to-bag printer and variable data software.
The printer can apply almost any data the user chooses—
including a unique delivery address, bar code, product info, and return
address—directly on the bag, thus eliminating the need for a
paper label and the time and effort required to print and apply
the label. As a result, the possibility of placing the wrong label on
a poly mailer is virtually eliminated.
The software/integrated printer system has the capacity to
store up to 20 job configurations and has the potential to reduce
labor costs significantly in operations that use poly mailers. The
system is engineered to work with Rollbag brand pre-opened
bags on a roll. (PAC Machinery, www.pacmachinery.com)
