LED worklights: TVH in the
Americas, a provider of replacement parts and accessories for
the material handling and industrial equipment industries, has expanded its LED worklight selection to include the SY2X140S and SY3X140S. These worklights
feature 140-degree light dispersion with spotlights on the front
and floodlights on the sides for optimal visibility.
The SY2X140S is equipped with 10 LEDs, 2,000 lumens, and
a power output of 29 watts, while the SY3X140S has 15 LEDs,
1,500 lumens, and a power output of 30 watts. Both feature a
durable aluminum housing and stainless-steel mounting hardware. (TVH in the Americas, www.tvh.com)
Electrostatic-discharge flow rack: Creform Corp. has designed
a new electrostatic-discharge (ESD) flow rack for a long-time customer. The rack features four levels for product presentation. Each
of the four levels features three lanes, while the top level allows
the empty container to be returned to the service aisle. The flow
rack is built with ESD light-gray pipe and nickel-plated metal joints
to meet the assembler’s antistatic requirement. Each of the flow
rack’s lanes features Creform’s ESD skatewheel conveyor rollers.
The rack’s lanes feature physical separators on both sides
so that the boxes are contained and separated as they flow
smoothly. Each supply lane features an extra angle at the picking
position for enhanced view and for easier component selection.
Label holders for each lane are included for the front and back to
ensure accurate loading and accurate picking.
With the stair-stepped design, each level can be raised or lowered without changing the length of the conveyor. This greatly
simplifies adjustment when needed. The rack and its levels can be
repositioned with simple tools, the manufacturer says.
The supply lanes feature an EF-2018 pivoting stop (an anti-back device). This simple gravity “stopper” allows material to
be loaded in without impediment then automatically flips up
to keep the container securely in the lane. The EF-2018’s swing
arm rests in the up position via gravity. The flow rack features six
heavy-duty stem casters, which allows for ease of movement and
relocation. It features two fixed casters for directional control.
This particular flow rack measures 70 inches high by 77 inches deep by 46 inches wide and is designed to hold up to 800
pounds. Creform says it can also design higher-capacity models
with custom rack sizes and configurations.
Creform flow racks are available as a kit, as an assembled
structure, or in component form for a complete DIY solution.
They are suitable for warehouse or manufacturing plant use and
are used to present production parts to a manufacturing cell or
assembly line or used for order picking or kitting. (Creform Corp.,

GPS temperature tracker: GeoSpace Labs, a provider of built-in low-cost professional tools for transporters of agricultural
commodities, has launched a new set of products designed to
assist drivers transporting temperature-sensitive materials in a
refrigerated trailer (reefer). The GPS-enabled tracking units can
be installed onto the reefer along with a temperature gauge.
Current and historical temperatures are available for display
inside the company’s Geowiz ELD and concurrently in the back
office. (GeoSpace Labs, geospacelabs.com)
Pallet lift trucks: Hyster has introduced the B60ZAC2 and B60-
80ZHD2 End Rider series pallet lift trucks. The trucks feature
an optional extended platform that provides 30 percent more
usable space, allowing operators to adjust stance to provide
postural relief, the company says. In addition, Hyster says the
“Ultra Cushion” can reduce shock and vibration by 30 percent
to improve operator comfort and provide steady footing while
accommodating up to a size 13 shoe.
The End Rider series trucks feature LED lights to improve
operator awareness in low light or congested areas. The LED
fork lights offer in-trailer illumination and are designed to help
raise pedestrian awareness and reduce product damage. The
“Precision Pick” feature allows operators to precisely place the
truck where they want it, controlling the speed and coast functions, in both directions, with the simple press of a button.
Included with the B60ZAC2 and B60-80ZHD2 End Rider series
is “Shift Assist,” a software bundle designed to improve efficiency and increase operator productivity. A shortcut to increased
functionality, the features are all driven by the shift button. The
software includes Hyster’s Intelligent lift/lower, Intelligent acceleration, Intelligent Slow Down, and Intelligent cruise features.
The Hyster B60ZAC2 and B60-80ZHD2 End Rider series trucks
are available in single-, double-, or triple-pallet 6,000- and
8,000-pound-capacity models. These lift trucks are engineered to
take on demanding applications in a multitude of operating environments, including home centers, food distribution facilities,
and food processing operations. (Hyster Co., www.hyster.com)
