Fleet management software: Trucking technology specialist
Konexial has released the 2019 version of its My20 Tower,
an enterprise fleet management system based on My20 ELD
next-generation telematics technology. Designed specifically
for fleet managers, My20 Tower contains everything needed to
meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) electronic logging device compliance, while receiving real-time data
on all trucks and drivers on the road, and using that ELD data
to enable dynamic load
matching, the company says.
The My20 Tower
calculates a driver’s
dynamic capacity based
on the hours of service,
location, and truckload
availability—data automatically logged by the
My20 ELD—and matches the fleet’s trucks with available loads.
The 2019 version of Konexial’s My20 Tower features vehicle
safety dashboards that provide data on driving behaviors, including braking and cornering too hard, and accelerating too fast,
creating feedback/coaching opportunities to correct habits and
prevent future equipment/accident issues. Also included is a new
mobile document dispatch feature that allows users to transmit
documents, including scale tickets, accident reports, and bills of
lading, to managers. (Konexial, www.konexial.com)
Asset-management solution: Honeywell has unveiled
Honeywell Operational Intelligence, an intuitive cloud-based
software solution that tracks, manages, and optimizes mobile
computers across all locations throughout the operational lifecy-cle and the return-to-manufacturer authorization process.
The enterprise asset-management solution is both software
and hardware agnostic, meaning that it supports Android and
iOS operating systems as well as devices from any manufacturer,
including Honeywell.
The solution provides actionable insights to help avoid unnecessary spending on additional equipment and to ensure devices
in the field are ready to perform. According to the company,
Honeywell Operational Intelligence gives companies visibility
within their device pool to reduce costly and unnecessary returns,
right-size spare device inventory, right-place assets, consolidate
returns processes into one system, and verify adherence to vendor return contracts. (Honeywell, www.honeywell.com)
Fleet safety compliance services: Safety Management Systems
Inc., an EHS (environmental, health, and safety) and regulatory
compliance provider, has launched its Fleet360 on-site fleet
safety compliance services to help clients with DOT regulatory
compliance and accident preventability determination.
Designed to help companies manage their regulatory responsibilities, Fleet360 services include “accident preventability determination” (APD) as well as DOT and OSHA compliance safety
audits, performed by a team of professionals with over 40 years
of experience in accident investigation, safety management, and
workplace compliance.
With SMS’s APD services, each accident is analyzed individually, and facts are gathered according to industry guidelines to
determine preventability, modify behavior, and increase a driver’s understanding of how to prevent future accidents. (Safety

Pneumatic-tire forklift: UniCarriers Americas (UCA) has
unveiled its new PD6 Series (IC) pneumatic-tire forklifts. The PD6
next-generation Platinum Series replaces the outgoing G06 Series
and is UCA’s most heavy-duty pneumatic-tire lift truck, with a
13,000- to 22,000-pound capacity range.
The new series features an expanded model lineup (with six
models compared with the previous series’ three) to cater to
bigger market segments. The lineup includes the addition of 6T
low-power and high-power offerings and a 7T low-power model.
Under the hood is a highly efficient Kubota v3800 Tier 4/CARB-
compliant diesel engine with improved fuel consumption.
A large LCD panel replaces the G06’s mechanical screen,
improving operator feedback. New standard features include
wet disc brakes for reduced cost of ownership, a dual-element
air cleaner, and a rear-view mirror.
In addition, the PD6 Series comes equipped with advantages
such as a seat-actuated operator presence system with seatbelt
and parking-brake warnings, and a five-piece overhead guard
that cuts replacement time by 75 percent.
New optional features include a five-spool valve for increased
functionality (not available on FD100-4 model), a high-capacity AC
alternator 12 volt by 115 amp for increased uptime, and LED lights
for energy efficiency. (UniCarriers Americas, www.unicarriers
