CBC (Companhia Brasileira de Cartu-chos), one of the largest manufacturers
of munitions in the world, has hired Mecalux to construct a 108’ high clad-rack
warehouse in the town of Ribeirao Pires
(São Paulo).
CBC will build an automated clad-rack high-capacity
warehouse in Brazil
The warehouse will be composed of two
aisles with double depth pallet racking, with
the corresponding automatic stacker cranes
that will carry out the movements of the incoming and outgoing goods. The storage capacity attained will exceed 5,200 pallets.
Inputs will be performed at the front of
the warehouse via a conveyor circuit and
outputs on the opposite side of the building, which will be connected to the loading docks to expedite the dispatch of
the pallets.
CBC is a company that began operating in
1926 with a small cartridge factory. In recent
years, the firm has turned into one of the
leading suppliers of ammunition for NATO,
police forces and security agencies, and
sports marksmen.
La Piamontesa maximizes
productivity with
the automated
Pallet Shuttle system
Mecalux will build La Piamontesa, one
of the first sausage manufacturers in Argentina, a 46’ high automated clad-rack
warehouse with a storage capacity of over
2,000;pallets of 39” x 47”.
The warehouse will be composed of a single
aisle where a stacker crane will circulate with
a Pallet Shuttle. This shuttle is responsible for
automatically moving the goods to their corresponding location.
On both sides, two blocks of 23’ deep racks
will be installed.
The inputs and outputs of the products will
be carried out from the top floor and one side
of the warehouse, by means of a conveyor
circuit. On the bottom floor, a large area will
be enabled where order picking will take
place. La Piamontesa has become one of the

tina since it was founded in 1953. The most

its industrial center in the town of Brinkmann
with the aim of producing superior quality
