Features of a clad-rack warehouse
Clad-rack warehouses are major engineering works in which the racking forms part
of the building's constructive system. In this
type of construction, there are neither pillars nor columns that hold the building up.
In addition to the stored loads and the
thrusts produced by the stacker cranes, the
racking must support the structure of the
roof and facade of the building, the cladding placed on the racking, the stresses
caused by the wind, snow and seismic activity in the area where it is built.
The warehouse location and its position
with regards to the rest of the buildings
have an impact on calculations and constructive processes.
