Labor management system: TZA has
release an improved version of its cloud-based
Pro Track Labor Management System. Pro Track
now provides dynamic alerting, a mobile alert
app, and enterprise dashboards, which allow
users quicker access and improved visibility to
workforce information and processes.
Pro Track’s new dynamic alerting helps management keep tabs on any operational, serv-ice-level, or performance issues as they happen. The Pro Track alerting engine monitors all
of the key metrics in the operation. It can
then send out notifications via e-mail, text
message, or mobile app whenever an alert
rule is triggered. The alerting engine also
monitors responses to alerts and can be configured to escalate alerts accordingly.
The mobile alerts app allows users to access
Pro Track’s dynamic alerts and messaging from
their iPhones. Using the mobile app, managers and supervisors can receive, review, and
acknowledge or escalate alerts.
The system’s new enterprise dashboards
provide up-to-the-minute, at-a-glance reports
and analytics on an operation’s performance.
Pro Track dashboards allow users to see, analyze, and share data such as utilization, quality levels, discipline, incentive pay, delays, indirect times, travel times and distances, and
equipment usage.
TZA has also upgraded the incentive engine
to manage multiple plans and payout calculations, expanded the time clock functionality
for companies not using a time and attendance system, and created a new kiosk sign-in/sign-out function to ease the daily punch-in
process. (TZA, www.tza.com)
Japan-to-U.S. airfreight service: Express
delivery firm DHL Express has expanded its
trans-Pacific and intra-Asian air express service with new direct flights linking Japan with
its Americas air hub in Cincinnati.
The daily service from Nagoya, Japan, to
Cincinnati provides next-day deliveries to the
United States from all Japanese locations
served by DHL Express. On the westbound
leg, flights will operate from Cincinnati to
Tokyo, providing two-day deliveries for
exporters in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and
Latin America.
DHL will also increase the number of flights
between Japan and Australia to four from
two. In addition, it will launch daily freighter
service linking Taipei, Taiwan; Incheon, South
Korea; and Nagoya. That flight will connect to
the Nagoya-Cincinnati service, providing additional freighter capacity for customers shipping to the U.S. from those Asian points. (DHL

Roll-up doors: TMI LLC’s 6000 Series roll-up door and screen line is designed to
keep insects, birds, and dust and other particles out of a facility. The new doors and
screens can be used to separate differing environments within and around a distribution center while also helping facilities meet AIB International Consolidated
Standards for Inspection for the food supply chain.
The 6000 Series units feature a higher-speed external jackshaft motor, which
allows the doors to be raised and lowered faster than previous TMI roll-up doors.
As a result, the doors can be used for a wider variety of applications. (TMI LLC,
