Flexitank for non-hazardous liquids:
Freight forwarder Hillebrand has introduced
a giant 40-foot flexitank that’s designed to
allow customers to transport non-hazardous
liquids across the world sustainably and in
temperature-controlled conditions. The versatile flexitank can be used in both dry and
temperature-controlled 40-foot containers,
the company says.
Depending on the sensitivity of the product
to temperature and its loading/unloading
requirements, customers will be guaranteed a
flexitank that meets their specific size needs.
The new flexitank is ideal when a customer’s
supply chain requires larger quantities to be
moved in a constant refrigerated or heated
condition, with the benefit of increasing
transport efficiency and reducing emissions,
the manufacturer says. (Hillebrand, www.

Inventory cycle-count system: International
supply chain solutions provider TouchPath
has launched “TouchCount,” a continuous
cycle-count system that can be used to keep
a current and accurate 360-degree view of
warehouse inventory. TouchCount is the first
of its kind, according to TouchPath. It can be
integrated with most ERP (enterprise resource
planning) systems, recording cycle-count data
from all types of warehouse data-capture
devices. Importantly, TouchCount can live-count inventory with no production stoppages and with zero disruption to live warehouse
product flows, unlike ERP systems whose
inventory cycle counting is limited by more
restrictive system rules, the company says.
The system can be customized to support
company-specific work processes, making
it easy for warehouse operators to use following minimal training. (TouchPath, www.

Bar-code printer: Toshiba America Business
Solutions has unveiled its premium thermal
bar-code printer, the B-EX4T3HS. Designed
to deliver high-resolution labels with precision
and speed, the B-EX4T3HS prints 600 dots
per inch at speeds of up to six inches per second. In addition, Toshiba’s printer can print
labels as small as 0.51 inches wide by 0.12
inches high.
This new printer combines accuracy and
high resolution by using center alignment,
which eliminates media shifts to ensure consistently accurate placement of bar-code data
on small labels, the company says. (Toshiba

Transflo’s Bundle+ plan carries no upfront hardware costs for fleets of 26 trucks
or more. (Transflo, www.transflo.com)
