Long-haul trailer tire: Cooper Tire has introduced a new long-haul trailer (LHT) tire, which completes the company’s signature
Cooper Pro Series product lineup with fitments at each tractor/
trailer wheel position. The Cooper Pro Series LHT is available in
size 295/75R22.5, with additional sizes scheduled to become
available in the near future.
Like the Cooper Pro Series LHS steer tire, the new trailer
tire features Cooper’s ECO (energy conservation optimization)
technology. This combines tire design, compounding, and construction to provide an ultra-low-rolling-resistance tire that both
exceeds SmartWay standard requirements by 15% and meets
the EPA’s greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions requirements set for
2021.
To provide a long service life, the tire features 12/32nds of
tread depth and was designed with a V-shaped tread pattern,
with ribs evenly spaced for better load distribution. The design
helps prevent irregular wear, while the tire’s four-belt steel
casing construction helps ensure a long-lasting trailer tire that
will provide multiple retreads to drive down costs.
In order to streamline tire maintenance, the tire features
Cooper’s Wear Square on its shoulder ribs. The square shows
tread depth through five different evolving patterns and will
also indicate when the tire should be pulled for retreading. Since
Wear Squares are placed on both sides of the tire, they can also
indicate when irregular wear is taking place, the company says.

Vehicle overhead alarm bar:
A-Safe Inc., a manufacturer of
protective guarding for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and other
workplace environments, has introduced the “Alarm Bar,” a
tubular product that actively responds to impact to protect overhead assets from moving vehicles.
The Alarm Bar is made from A-Safe’s Memaplex material, the
company’s blend of eight materials and rubber additives that is
designed to absorb impact without incurring damage. The bar
is just over six feet long (78 3/4 inches) and has a diameter of
five inches. These are standard dimensions; custom systems are
available if ordered in bulk.
The product is self-powered, with 12-volt battery life providing
more than two years of constant power, the company says. Audio
and visual alarms notify the operator of contact: Two 102dB
buzzers sound for 20 seconds after impact, and light-emitting
diodes (LEDs) display two red flashing indicator strips that span
the length of the bar, lasting for 40 seconds.
The lightweight 28-pound Alarm Bar is suited for use in temperatures ranging from + 41 degrees F to 122 degrees F. (A-Safe

Rugged mobile computer: Rugged mobile computer manufacturer Janam Technologies LLC has
introduced a touch computer with a five-inch display
and Google’s “Android Enterprise Recommended”
(AER) certification. As part of the AER program,
Janam’s XT200 runs feature-rich Android 8 (Oreo),
can be upgraded to Android 9 (Pie), and supports
five years of software-security patches.
The XT200 is built to thrive in retail, direct-store-de-livery, and field-service environments. From inventory tracking to
point of sale to proof of delivery, the XT200 computer streamlines operations, delivers optimal efficiency, and elevates the
customer experience, the company says.
The XT200 combines a sleek, rugged smartphone-like
design with the latest technological advancements. Featuring
2D-imaging technology, integrated RFID (radio-frequency identification) and NFC (near-field communication) reading capabilities,
and 13MP/5MP rear- and front-facing cameras, the XT200 allows
users to address a wide spectrum of data-capture needs, the
company says. (Janam Technologies LLC, www.janam.com)
Insert feeders: Pineberry Manufacturing Inc. has introduced
its “Targeted Insert Solution.” New to the company’s line of
products, this unit features multiple Pineberry SF friction feeders
and is designed to streamline the process of inserting marketing
material into totes and cartons of different sizes. This system is
applicable to both B2B and B2C e-commerce operations, the
company says.
The friction feeders are placed along an automated conveyor
line that, when triggered by a signal, carries each container to the
necessary feeder(s) to receive the desired marketing collateral.
The solution has the ability to integrate multiple Pineberry SF
friction feeders. Available in widths of up to 20 inches, the friction feeders can handle flat media materials ranging from 0.003
inches to 1 inch in thickness. (Pineberry Manufacturing Inc., pine-berryinc.com) ;
