EXPERIENCED GUIDE.
WITH OVER 12,000 UNITS INSTALLED AND
13 UNIQUE DIMENSIONING PRODUCTS,
In 1987, we had an idea. Over the past 30 years, that idea has grown into an industry. We have seen
many dimensioning companies come and go over the years, but we have remained. We listen to our
customers, learn by working in their environments and innovate as their needs change. Our software,
technology and staff are all developed to make our customers more efficient and more profitable.
When we work with our clients, our experience is our guide. Give us a call today to learn more.

LET US BE YOUR GUIDE.
Plastic box latch: Pewaukee, Wis.-based company Box Latch
has introduced a reusable plastic latch that can either be popped
or slid onto the two top flaps of a corrugated box to keep it closed.
The Box Latch is designed for closed-loop operations, where a box
is typically sealed with tape, staples, or a band, and sent from one
place to another—either internally or externally. Ordinarily in these
situations, a corrugated box is only used once because when the
tape is removed, the box often tears or degrades in quality. The Box
Latch allows the box to be sealed, opened, and reused.
With the development of the Box Latch, the manufacturer hopes
to encourage other companies to reuse boxes and reduce the
amount of corrugated being sent to landfills or recycling centers.
With 90 percent of all boxes used only once, reusing corrugated
boxes can lead to substantial savings, the company says. For example, Box Latch estimates that reusing 100,000 boxes 10 times would
create a savings of $90,000 in corrugated and tape costs.
There are currently three sizes of Box Latches available, costing
between $1 and $4 each. (Box Latch Products, www.boxlatch.com)
Sealer control system: Packaging equipment and materials
manufacturer PAC Machinery has introduced its MedLogic control
system for validatable medical impulse sealers.
The MedLogic control system features a PLC (programmable logic
controller) with a seven-inch touchscreen HMI (human machine
interface); a 10-inch version is available as an option. The interface
is designed for easy navigation, and the system provides real-time
monitoring of all critical sealing process parameters with an alarm
to prevent operation in the event the machine drifts outside preset
tolerances. The source of any fault condition is
identified visually on the controller and logged
in storage for the purpose of documentation
(using a USB drive for storage).
The MedLogic control system offers 3 Level
login access (operator/supervisor/engineer)
with programmable name and password protection and a verification/calibration menu to
streamline the IQ/OQ/PQ process.
PacMed medical pouch sealers with
MedLogic are capable of making hermetic seals with temperatures
ranging from 200 degrees F to 650 degrees F. The PS Med Impulse
Sealer with MedLogic, for example, is designed to comply with
the guidelines of ISO 11607 standards. External verification ports
allow for verification and calibration of internal controllers. (PAC

Bulk system: Reusable packaging specialist Orbis Corp. has
introduced OPTE Bulk for storing and shipping packaged goods.
The OPTE Bulk is a collapsible bulk system that consists of a plastic
pallet, reusable sleeve, and top cap. It is available in footprints from
32 inches long by 44 inches wide to 40 inches long by 48 inches
wide. Sleeves are available in several heights, styles, and access-door
configurations.
When full, the OPTE Bulk protects bulk products and tote
systems during shipping. When empty, the sleeves collapse for
easier storing and reduced freight costs. (Orbis Corp., www.
