Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes has
entered into a global strategic relationship with the newly formed DCR
IP Company, LLC.

SHAWCOR TO PROVIDE PIPE COATING
SERVICES FOR GJOA PROJECT
ShawCor Ltd. has announced that its
subsidiary, Bredero Shaw, has received a
contract with a value of approximately
$30 million to provide pipeline coatings
for StatoilHydro’s Gjøa offshore projects
in the North Sea. The contract has been
awarded to Bredero Shaw Norway AS,
but will be executed at the Bredero Shaw
coating facility in Leith, Scotland which
will be reopened for its first major project
since 2006. The contract is a part of the
frame agreement between StatoilHydro
and Bredero Shaw Norway AS.
Bredero Shaw’s Leith facility will
provide the anti-corrosion coating,
internal coating and concrete weight
coating for the 130 km Gjøa gas
pipeline. A further 55 km of 16” pipe
for the Gjøa oil pipeline will be coated
with anti-corrosion coating and concrete weight coating. The 28” pipeline
will be installed from the Gjøa field
and be connected to the FLAGS trun-kline system while the 16” pipeline
will connect the Gjøa field to the Troll
Oljerør II pipeline.

Soliant’s Fluorex Paintfilm has been selected for the 2008
Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2 DR and 4 DR front and rear
bumper cover program. Soliant estimates the program
will include 50,000 parts per year based on current published industry sales information and projections.

For this application, Soliant’s paintfilm is being supplied as a thick sheet laminate for thermoforming.
Bright Silver Metallic is the color selected for the Jeep
Wrangler Sahara bumper covers. Soliant’s paintfilm
product is currently used on many programs at many
major OEM suppliers.
Soliant can match any color, including metallics and
pearlescents, and has matched 1,400 different colors
and finishes, including chameleon colors that appear
to change from different light and angles.
For the 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2 DR and 4 DR front
