PPG appoints Kenny VP, corporate marketing
PPG Industries
has appointed
Patrick J. Kenny
vice president,
corporate marketing. He will continue to be based
at the company’s
global headquarters and will
report directly to
J. Rich Alexander, PPG senior vice
president, performance coatings.
In his new role, Kenny will be
responsible for corporate marketing
and growth initiatives, government
selling programs, market-facing
growth initiatives and market-ing/sales competency development.
He is currently PPG general manager, corporate marketing and construction markets.
Kenny joined PPG in 1980 and progressed through various project management, sales management and
marketing positions in the flat glass,
commercial products and construction contracting businesses. He
moved to Hong Kong in 1989 as managing director for a PPG glass joint
venture and was promoted to global
marketing manager, flat glass, in
1993. In 1999, Kenny became global
director of marketing, flat glass, and
in 2003, he was appointed business
director of the newly-created, cross-business construction market team.
He assumed additional responsibility
for leading PPG’s corporate marketing and growth initiatives in
November 2006.

MASCO APPOINTS BROWN
CHIEF PROCUREMENT
OFFICER AND VP SUPPLY CHAIN
Masco Corp. has appointed David F.
Brown as chief procurement officer
and vice president—supply chain. In
his new position, Brown will be respon-
sible for setting the overall supply
chain strategy and procurement policy
for Masco’s global organization.
NORDSON PROMOTES PEMBROKE
TO PRESIDENT EFD OPERATION
Nordson Corporation has promoted
Jeff Pembroke to president of its
Nordson EFD operation. Pembroke
succeeds Peter Lambert, who had
served as president of Nordson EFD
(engineered fluid dispensing) since
2005 and was recently elected senior
vice president with global responsibility for Nordson’s Adhesive
Dispensing Systems segment.
Pembroke joined Nordson Corporation in 2005 as vice president of
sales and marketing for the company’s
Industrial Coating and Automotive
Systems segment. In 2006, he moved to
Nordson’s Adhesive Dispensing
Systems segment where he served as
vice president of sales and marketing
with global responsibilities.
DSM ANNOUNCES
MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS
Royal DSM N.V. has announced a
number of management changes.
Gerard de Reuver currently director
of strategic projects, will be appoint-
ed business group director DSM
Dyneema as of April 1, 2010. de
Reuver’s current responsibilities,
which include managing a dedicated
taskforce to deal with the changed
economic environment as well as a
culture change program, have now
been transferred to the business
groups, with a coordinating role for
corporate finance and corporate
human resources. de Reuver will
report to Nico Gerardu, member of
the DSM managing board.
Christophe Dardel, presently busi-
ness group director of DSM
Dyneema, will be appointed presi-
dent of DSM Biomedical as of May
15, 2010. Mr. Dardel will now have
the responsibility of growing the
DSM Biomedical business. In his
new role he will report to Rob van
Leen, DSM chief innovation officer.
Steve Hartig currently president of
DSM Biomedical, will support
Dardel through the transition and
will then be promoted to his next
leadership role with DSM. An
announcement regarding his new
role will be made on a later date.
FERRO ELECTS
NEW OFFICERS
Ferro Corporation announced that the
board of directors took action to
increase the number of directors to
thirteen directors and voted to elect
Richard C. Brown, Gregory E. Hyland
and Ronald P. Vargo as directors of
the company, effective immediately.
Brown currently serves as the chief
executive officer of Performance
Fibers. Prior to joining Performance
Fibers, Brown was vice president and
president of the performance chemi-
cals business of W.R. Grace & Co. from
2005 until 2007. Hyland currently
serves as chairman, president and
chief executive officer of Mueller
Water Products, Inc. Vargo most
recently served as the executive vice
president and chief financial officer of
Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and
served as a member of EDS’ Executive
