Perstorp names market development manager
Perstorp has appointed Mike
Schneider its new market development manager for coatings and adhesives, primarily focusing on products
such as Tolonate and Easaqua aliphatic polyisocyanates. Schneider’s job will
be to provide technical support to coatings’ and adhesives’ formulators in
Germany, Austria, Switzerland and
the Benelux region. He will work
closely with Perstorp’s sales managers
in these countries.
JNS SMITHCHEM NAMES BENNETT
REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
JNS Smithchem LLC has appointed
Doug Bennett to the newly created posi-
tion of regional sales manager, New
England. Bennett will be responsible for
growing the company’s customer and
supplier base in New England with
emphasis on expanding sales in building
products, coatings, inks, plastics, rubber
and adhesives. He came to JNS
Smithchem from Dow Reichhold
Specialty Latex LLC, where he served as
business manager, North American dis-
tribution and construction products.
JUKKA HAVIA APPOINTED
TIKKURILA'S NEW CFO
Jukka Havia has been appointed
Tikkurila's CFO and member of the
management board beginning April
16, 2010. Based in Vantaa, he will
report to Erkki Järvinen, president
and CEO, Tikkurila Oy. Havia will join
Tikkurila from Ruukki Group Oyj
where he has acted as CFO since 2005
and as deputy CEO since 2008.
ASTM ELECTS MEMBER TO
INT’L BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The American Society for Testing
and Materials (ASTM) has elected
Ken Yarosh, global Sservice line
manager for the specialty chemicals
business of Dow Corning, to serve as
vice chairman of the 2010 International Board of Directors. Yarosh
will help to shape the policy direction of the international standards
organization. His two-year term
