Dur-A-Flex names David Hughes vice president
of marketing, research and development

Dur-A-Flex has named David Hughes vice president of marketing, research and development. Hughes is a former business director of BASF Corporation and a business line vice president for Ciba Specialty Chemicals.

In his new role, Hughes will direct research and development with a focus on new innovative applications and

product rollouts. He will also oversee Dur-A-Flex’s marketing efforts, which include the tradeshow channel, lead generation program and product management.

While at BASF, Hughes’ role as business director included overseeing market-

ing, sales, business development and technical service. He also served over 12 years with Ciba in various roles from business vice president, procurement, new business development, sales and supply chain in a variety of businesses focused on the coatings and related markets.

Dur-A-Flex is a privately held manufacturer of epoxy, urethane, methyl methacrylate and colored aggregates offering a complete line of high performance polymer flooring and wall systems.
