bio-succinic acid from renewable feed-stock. Bio-succinic acid is a platform chemical that can be used to make a number of
products currently made from petrochemicals. The company licensed BDO hydrogenation catalyst technology from DuPont
in 2010, which has been further developed
with partners Evonik and the Center for
Applied Catalysis at Seton Hall University
in South Orange, New Jersey to improve
the technology. In parallel, BioAmber and
Evonik have started to develop a new generation of BDO catalysts.
commitment to speeding up its development in Latin America around high added

BASF India to build chemical
production complex
Toyo Engineering India Limited, an Indian
subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation
has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract (EPC) to
build a new multi-business chemical production site for BASF India Limited part of BASF,
the world’s leading chemical company, at the
Dahej Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR), located in
Dahej, on the west coast of India in Gujarat
Province. The new site will be an integrated
hub for polyurethane manufacturing and will
also house production facilities for care
chemicals and polymer dispersions for coatings and paper. The plant is expected to commence operations in 2014.
The new production site at Dahej will ensure local supply of products and solutions
for India’s growing markets and will cater to
industries such as appliances, footwear, automotive, building materials, adhesives, architectural coatings, paper and personal care.
The polyurethane facility will produce thermoplastic polyurethane, microcellular
polyurethane elastomers for automotive
NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) parts
and polyurethane systems. The care chemicals facility will produce surfactants for
home and personal care. The polymer dispersions facility will produce products for
architectural coatings, construction materials and paper coating.

Most efficient and aggressive blending/dispersing blade available. Provides proper combination of pumping action and shear/ dispersion essential for fast consistent results. Built in pumping action cuts processing time. Longer life due to heavier gauge construction. Less heat due to shorter required running time. Excellent for high or low speed and high or low viscosity. Supplied with hubs or mounting holes required to retrofit and upgrade present equipment. Pumping blades without teeth are available and are excellent for gentle blending and agitation.
