Troy Corporation announced the election of W. Brian Smith by the Board of
Directors to the position of executive vice
president and chief operating officer, effective
immediately. In his new
role, Smith will be responsible for ensuring
operational excellence throughout the
organization, including technical, sales
and service functions worldwide. This
appointment reflects the company’s
commitment to growth and expansion
into new markets.
A Troy employee since 1995, Smith has
held various leadership positions within the
company, most recently that of vice president. His initiatives began with a focus on
internal line-function efficiency and later on
driving strategic growth. Smith played an instrumental role in Troy’s recent acquisition
of the Ashland Industrial Biocides business.
Smith has more than twenty years of
management experience in the specialty
chemicals industry, as well as a deep understanding of the marketplace.
Pilot Chemical Company
Names New Sales Manager
for Latin America
Bert Gutierrez has been named Pilot
Chemical Company’s new general manager for Latin America, where he will
oversee the growth of products and technology in all Latin American territories.
He replaces Sarah Mester, who moved
to director of corporate development in
January 2017.
Gutierrez has more than 30 years of
experience in chemical distribution management and most recently served as vice
president of sales for SolvChem, Inc.
Adsil Announces
Appointment of Marketing
Manager
Adsil, Inc., manufacturer of patented
commercial and industrial siloxane coat-
ings for hard surfaces and HVAC appli-
cations, appointed Betsi Dmitrenko to
the position of marketing manager. In
this newly created position, Dmitrenko
will be responsible for customer com-
munications, new product introductions,

Paul Bieber Named VP of
Sales for Sto Corp.
Sto Corp. has announced
the appointment of Paul
B. Bieber as vice president of sales.In his role,
Bieber will be responsible for Sto Corp’s domestic sales team including
regional managers and
the company’s national sales network.
He has more than 30 years of sales and
management experience in various segments of the construction and building
materials industries, and will be located at Sto’s corporate headquarters in
Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

representative for Southern California/
Western Coatings manager effective
immediately. Tasson comes to Sto with
20 years of experience in various segments of the construction, insulation
and buildings materials industries with
a consistent record of exceeding sales

of Joules Angstrom UV Printing Inks,
is assuming the presidency of RadTech
International – the nonprofit orga-
nization for Ultraviolet and Electron
Beam (UV+EB) Technologies, for a two
year term. Peter Weissman of Quaker
Chemical Corp. will move to immediate
past president. Eileen Weber of Red Spot
Paint and Varnish has been nominated to
serve as president elect, and will assume
office in 2019.
