Custom-built Control
Systems
Every Ross SysCon Control System is
designed and engineered to guarantee
ultimate efficacy no matter the application. Available is a NEMA 12 Control
Panel which operates a Ross V-Cone
Tumble Blender. Two Variable Frequency
Drives (VFDs) are internally mounted
for controlling the tumbling vessel and
intensifier bar. Main disconnect with
lockout provision, color touch screen
display with viewing and control functions, individual Start/Stop/Speed and
Jog controls, cycle timer, system E-stop
pushbutton and safety gate switch circuit are all supplied.
Ross SysCon supplies state-of-the-
art equipment, such as the color touch
screen or Human Machine Interface
(HMI) employed in this particular con-
trol panel. The HMI is used as a regu-
latory tool. It communicates with the
VFD’s for start/stop/speed control as
well as monitoring the output frequen-
cy and motor current. It also utilizes a
cycle timer function that stops
both motors when time elapses
to zero. The blender motor has
a brake system to stop the rota-
tion within seconds.

Vertical Airflow Cabinet
Oven
No. 1020 is a 500°F (260°C) vertical airflow cabinet oven from Grieve,
currently used for pass-thru heat processing with a customer’s conveyor
system. Workspace dimensions of this
oven measure 44” W x 24” D x 24”
H. 10 KW are installed in Incoloy
sheathed tubular heating elements,
while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating
blower provides vertical downward
airflow to the workload.
This Grieve cabinet oven features 4”
insulated walls and an aluminized steel
exterior. Other features include Type 304,
2B finish stainless steel interior and penetration in the sidewalls for customer’s
conveyor system.
Controls on the No. 1020 include a
digital indicating temperature controller,
a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.

Electrically-Heated Walk-in
Oven
No. 941 is an electrically-heated
750ºF (~399ºC) walk-in oven from
Grieve, currently used for drying
resin mixtures at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions on
this oven measure 48”W x 48”D x
72”H. 60KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the
unit, while a 4200 CFM, 3-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal
airflow across the load.
This Grieve walk-in oven features 6”
insulated walls throughout, Type 304 2B
stainless steel interior with continuously
welded seams, stainless steel exterior
with #4 brushed finish and heavy-duty
double front doors. No. 941 also features a digital programming temperature
controller and 10” diameter circular
