Jahn named head of BASF’s coatings division
Raimar Jahn has assumed responsibility for BASF’s
coatings operating division. In
addition, Jahn
will become CEO
of BASF Coatings
AG. In both positions, Jahn will
succeed Jean-
Pierre Monteny Raimar Jahn
who recently
retired. Jahn joined BASF in 1985 as
marketing and sales manager. In
1997, he became senior vice president of BASF’s automotive coatings
business in North America. Jahn was
appointed president of BASF’s performance polymers division in 2001.
PPG APPOINTS HARRINGTON
MANAGER OF COLOR STYLING
FOR AUTOMOTIVE COATINGS
PPG Industries has named Jane E.
Harrington manager of color
styling for its automotive coatings
business unit. In
her new position,
Harrington is
responsible for creating, planning
and managing Jane E. Harrington
PPG’s annual global color show, which showcases new
color creations and the latest technical
advancements, to support automakers
as they select and develop colors that
enhance the brand identity and image
of the vehicles they bring to market.
Harrington is also responsible for
working with automaker design teams
to develop color programs and for marketing PPG’s automotive coatings
capabilities. In addition, she serves as
the internal liaison between divisional
color groups within PPG and is a
member of corporate committees that
support efforts to promote color as a
key competency at the company.
Harrington began her automotive
career in 1983 at PPG as a sales
trainee. During her 23 years at the
company, Harrington has held various
positions of increasing responsibility
in color development and styling. Most
recently, Harrington served as senior
color designer, where the majority of
her focus was color design and development for Ford Motor Co. and Mazda.
MUNZING/ULTRA ADDITIVES
NAMES NEW SALES MANAGER
Munzing/Ultra Additives has hired
Nick DiGennaro as
northeast regional
sales manager.
DiGennaro will be
responsible for the
sales and marketing for all paint,
coatings, adhesives, ink and
building products Nick DiGennaro
in New England,
eastern New York, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and
Maryland.
DSM NEORESINS MAKES
SEVERAL APPOINTMENTS
DSM NeoResins has announced a
number of appointments, which have
been made upon the retirement of
Henk van de Wiel, commercial director DSMNeoResins. The business
mangers will include Ad Ernst, business manager coatings Europe,
Middle East and Africa, Larry Evans,
business manager coatings North
and Mid-America and Sjaak
Griffioen, global business manager
adhesives and graphic arts. Steven
Chu will remain the business manager for coatings APC. All business man-
agers will report to Monika Riese-Martin, business unit director, DSM
NeoResins.
Caroline Moon will become responsible for the global supply chain in
addition to her role as global finance
and control director. Rod Arnoldus will
continue in his current role as R&T
director and Ivo Lansbergen will join
the company as manager strategic
projects.
In addition, Martin Vlak has been
appointed sales and demand manager
for coatings EMA reporting to Ad
Ernst and Erwin van Laere has been
named sales and demand manager for
global AGA reporting to Sjaak
Griffioen.
Stef Wilders, HR manager of the
DSMNeoresins business unit will
assume van de Wiel’s local management role in Waalwijk, the
Netherlands.

GLOBAL BUSINESS DIRECTOR
Chemtura Corp. has named Andrew
Eisenstein global
business director,
polymerization
additives and
intermediates.
Eisenstein was
formerly business
director and marketing manger for
Chemtura’s inter- Andrew Eisenstein
mediates and
inhibitors businesses. Before the formation of Chemtura in 2005, he was
with Crompton Corp. for 27 years.
