R-M LAUNCHES SUPREMELUX CP
R-M has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of a new
clearcoat with high scratch resistance
properties. The VOC-compliant clearcoat, Supremelux CP also offers refinish solutions for vehicle models that
were coated with a scratch-resistant
OEM clearcoat.
The new clearcoat was developed
with the current VOC regulations in
mind. While it was designed for use
with Onyx HD, it can also be used by R-M bodyshops working with basecoats
from R-M’s Diamont Line. Bodyshops
that make the switch to Onyx HD
waterborne basecoats to comply with
the VOC regulations can also continue
to use Supremelux CP.
Due to Supremelux CP’s reflow
properties, it offers good scratch
resistance and eliminates minor
scratches. No special hardeners or
thinners are required.
TENNANT INTRODUCES NEW
VOC-COMPLIANT COATINGS
Tennant Company has launched new
industrial maintenance coatings
that meet the new VOC requirements of California’s South Coast
Air Quality Management District
(SCAQMD). The new 100 g/L VOC-compliant coatings include Eco-CEP,
Eco-HPS 100 and Eco-HTS 100. Eco-CEP Color Epoxy Primer is a new
white epoxy primer designed to hide
under white and light gray topcoats
that exceeds the new 100 g/L VOC
limitations with a VOC emission of
nine g/L. Eco-CEP requires just one
or two coats while offering greater
hide than standard epoxy with field

more coats or milliliters as well as
numerous topcoat applications,

Eco-HPS Gloss Urethane Topcoat
and Eco-HTS Satin Urethane

NEW VICOTE COATINGS
Victrex has rolled out the new Vicote
fluoropolymer coatings product line
that is designed for automotive,
industrial, consumer cookware and
food processing applications. The key
ingredient of Vicote coatings is
Victrex Peek polymer, a linear, aromatic, semi-crystalline polymer.
