Collaborative effort: TradeBeam, a provider of SaaS-based global trade management solutions, has made key updates to i-Supply, the TradeBeam collaborative inventory management solution designed to provide manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers with increased visibility into the supply chain.

With support for multiple inventory pull and push replenishment models, i-Supply enhances existing ERP, inventory, logistics, and warehouse management systems by making near real-time information visible via the Web. This results in a more efficient and collaborative supply chain.

The new TradeBeam i-Supply features an enhanced Lean Order Scheduling feature that enables the scheduling of multiple lean orders and pickups per day for as-needed inventory, bringing visibility to carriers and 3PL providers. The information shared between supplier and manufacturer ensures that actions are always based on the same data, which leads to reduced emergency shipments and premium freight charges.

The i-Supply solution graphically displays component inventory status, including on-hand, forecast, usage, orders, shipments, and receipts, as well as real-time notification exceptions. An improved dashboard interface delivers a near real-time summary view into inventory, shipping, receiving, and supplier quality ratings. A user can filter, sort, and drill down into forecast demand, supplier capacity, projected inventory, actual usage, authorization history, and critical inventory. Getting their fill: Storopack presents the PAPERplus Shooter. This high-speed paper dispensing system provides void fill dispensing at up to 350 feet per minute. A pulling system unwinds paper from the inside of the roll, automatically creating filler with several layers

of paper from a one-ply roll. These features combine to virtually eliminate manual folding and crumpling, saving time and material.

PAPERplus is made from 100 percent natural, recycled Kraft paper that can be used over and over prior to recycling, making it an ideal solution for green packaging initiatives.

Enhancements of a sort: Invar Systems, a supplier of warehouse software and integrated solutions, has enhanced its IWS Sortation Control System to provide a complete sortation upgrade solution. IWS Sortation Control is a solution for the management and control of the sorting process and includes sortation machine-level control.

The enhanced solution addresses the needs of many companies that may want to upgrade a sorter, but must deal with issues of obsolescence in the product, lack of support from original suppliers, and a business requirement that has changed from the original installation.
