; Wynright Control Solutions has
appointed Jeff Holmes to the position of
vice president, software and system design.
He will be responsible for the definition,
design, and aftermarket support of all software and control systems. Holmes, who
has been with Wynright since 2001, most
recently drove the company’s strategic partnership venture
with Vocollect. The partnership enables Wynright to integrate the Vocollect Voice engine into its existing warehouse
control software.

; Weber Distribution, a third-party logistics service
provider, has hired Dennis McDonough as vice president,
client solutions and Robert Cesario as director of operations. McDonough joins Weber with more than 26 years of
industry experience. In his new role, he will be responsible
for developing new business and managing the needs of
Weber’s existing accounts in the import and retail areas.
Cesario joins Weber with more than 24 years of industry
experience. He will be responsible for Weber’s four distribution facilities in California’s Inland Empire.
; Wisconsin-based Wow Logistics has hired Eva Curtis as
its national accounts manager. In her new position, Curtis
will work with companies looking to outsource their ambient warehousing and distribution within Wow’s Wisconsin
and Illinois distribution centers. Curtis, who brings more
than 20 years of experience in sales, management, and
operations, most recently worked for Northrop Grumman.
; FreightScan has promoted Patrick Klacka to director of
system engineering. In his new role, Klacka will develop
and maintain the necessary systems, engineering processes, and training for FreightScan’s cargo dimensioning and
screening products.
; Supply chain software developer Optricity has
announced three changes within the company’s management team. Sheila Benny has been appointed executive
vice president. She will lead strategy, alliances, and marketing for the company. John Neblett has been promoted
to senior project manager. Neblett will focus on the firm’s
slotting optimization software, OptiSlot. In addition, Kristen
Basmajian has joined Optricity as marketing manager.
; Aeronet, an integrated logistics solutions company, has
promoted Tony L. Medeiros to president and chief executive officer. Medeiros has served as Aeronet’s president and
chief operating officer since October 2002. During his term,
Aeronet has expanded into the Asian and European markets and recorded threefold growth in revenues.
; Regal Logistics has hired Andy Crane and Tony
Wilmoth as the company’s new sales directors. The two
will be responsible for developing new business for Regal,
a third-party logistics service provider with facilities in the
U.S. Southeast and Pacific Northwest.
; Cargo Wise edi, a developer of integrated international
supply chain logistics management systems, has named
David Rollason senior vice president–business growth,
optimization, and performance. He will be responsible for
managing technical and process integration of new components, applications, and architectures.
; Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks of Houston has launched a
Real Men Drive Pink campaign, which focuses on raising
awareness about male breast cancer. Funds raised through
the campaign, which includes the auctioning of a pink
electric forklift truck, will be donated to the Breast Cancer
3-Day event.
; FedEx Corp. has appointed William
Logue president of FedEx Freight. Logue
first joined the FedEx Express division in
1989 through the Flying Tigers acquisition.
Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of FedEx
Express-United States, where he was
responsible for the FedEx Express Air Operations, Air
Ground and Freight Services, Central Support Services, and
Domestic Ground Operations divisions. In his new position,
Logue will oversee FedEx Freight, FedEx National LTL, and
FedEx Custom Critical.

; Steve Williams, chairman and CEO of flatbed carrier
Maverick USA Inc., has been appointed chairman of the
American Transportation Research Institute, the non-profit research arm of the American Trucking Associations.
Williams succeeds Doug Duncan, president and CEO of
FedEx Freight, who recently announced his retirement.
; ATC Logistics & Electronics (ATCLE) has added Amy
Knoth to its team as a business development director. She
is responsible for developing new business initiatives in the
Western United States. Knoth comes to her new position
from UPS Supply Chain Solutions, where she served as
area sales manager and senior account manager.
; ArrowStream, a provider of supply chain solutions for
the food-service industry, has announced that John Harvey
has joined the company as chief financial officer (CFO).
Harvey most recently served as CFO of Redbox Automated
Retail and Redbox’s publicly traded parent, Coinstar Inc.
