At Dematic, our focus continues to be on you, our customer, and working to make your warehouse, manufacturing facility or distribution center a more productive operation. To help you realize a more optimized receiving to shipping process, we have completed 3 initiatives in 2010 to enable you to work smarter, faster and safer: the acquisition of HK Systems, the addition of new technology solutions, and a program for supply chain education.

As you may know, Dematic recently acquired HK Systems. Bringing together the two companies into one integrated organization means we now offer customers additional logistics engineering expertise, resources, more solution sets to enhance operational performance and increased life cycle support capabilities in more locations across North America. The “New Dematic” is positioned to make even greater contributions to your logistics success.

Based on your input, we have emphasized product and solution development. As a result, we will be introducing many new technology solutions in 2011, including RapidPick, an all new ergonomic “ goods-to-person” pick station, Multishuttle Flex, a new version of the Dematic Multishuttle® that can accommodate various product shapes and load sizes and the next generation of WCS software called DC Director.

Finally, we will continue to offer non biased and consultative solution development in an educational manner. This will be accomplished three ways. First, the Dematic Warehouse Logistics Conference, a life cycle support and DC modernization educational event traveling across North America in 2011; Second, the 26th annual Material Handling & Logistics Conference addressing supply chain strategies, trends and thought leadership, September 18 – 22, 2011 in Park City, Utah. And third, Dematic introduces an integrated educational program, “ 10 Strategies for Order Fulfillment Success”. Watch for our soon to be released series of educational white papers and case studies.
