The past couple of years were tough ones for the material handling industry. The economic downturn was difficult
for our customers, and as they prepared for another year with a sluggish economy, they continued to be cautious in
their spending. We at MTC braced ourselves as well and have weathered the storm, immerging leaner and stronger
than before.
As we begin this New Year, we find that we are optimistic about 2011 for several reasons:
We are optimistic because as changes in energy technology come and go; lead acid batteries are still the ;;
best value per kilowatt on the market. Given the variety of charging and changing options available, MTC
still provides the most cost effective method for the industry to get the most out of their battery purchases.
With a sluggish economy, customers are searching for ways to reduce costs, and they are turning to MTC for ;;
products such as our labor-saving Intell-A-Changer, an automated battery changing and charging system.
Our customers, just like everyone else, are trying to do more with less. More often, they look to MTC to ;;
provide them with the latest in battery management software, EBatt, so that they can run their forklifts with
fewer batteries and maximize lift truck usage.
MTC is continually improving its processes and products. In 2011 we will continue to make it simple to do ;;
business with us. From our sales to engineering to manufacturing, we will strive to meet and exceed our
customers’ needs.
We are also optimistic for 2011, because we live in the great country of the United States of America where ;;
we are still the land of opportunity. Even in a slow economy, opportunities exist, and we as Americans have
the freedom to make the most of them.
This has not been our first economic downturn, nor will it be the last. MTC has seen many business cycles since we
began in 1946, and we have endured them all. We look forward to serving our customers for many years to come.
As we look back on the past year, everyone at MTC would like to thank our customers and suppliers who have stood
with us through these difficult times. As we look forward, we wish all of you a healthy, safe, and prosperous 2011.
Best regards,
