AGV kit: Dematic has introduced
“Flex Truck easy,” a kit that provides all
the modules needed to configure an
automated guided vehicle (AGV) system for transporting pallets. The
FlexTruck easy kit comes with the
Flex Truck double pallet handling vehi-cle(s), control center, navigation targets, wireless call/dispatch stations, batteries, and chargers.
FlexTruck easy is designed for pallet transportation/delivery
applications such as moving pallets from receiving to storage or
from storage to shipping. Other applications include delivery
to/from process equipment or from production to shipping.
The call/dispatch stations allow operators to summon a vehicle
and direct it to a pallet delivery destination. The laser-guided pallet truck automatically picks up and drops off pallets at floor
level. The Flex Truck also comes with an operator compartment so
it can be manually operated for special load-movement tasks.
The control center provides task prioritization, reporting, and
traffic control. Flex Truck can easily be moved or reconfigured as
a DC’s requirements change.
According to Dematic, the Flex Truck reduces labor costs, pallet delivery delays, and pallet/facility damage. (Dematic,

Rugged tablet: The newest addition to DAP Technologies’ line-up of rugged tablets, the M7000, is a 7-inch mini-tablet with
Windows integration and a sunlight-visible screen.
The M7000 weighs around one pound and measures 5 inches
by 8 inches. Its 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen automatically rotates to the proper position, whether landscape or portrait.
The M7000 tablet also features a 2.0 megapixel camera with a
rear flash.
Unlike consumer tablets that cannot stand up to harsh conditions, the M7000 has a durable design to protect against water,
extreme temperatures, thermal shock, and dust. It is sealed to
IP65 and meets MIL-STD-810F standards for shock, vibration,
and four-foot drops to concrete. (DAP Technologies,

Live roller conveyor: Hytrol Conveyor Co. has added a heavy-duty Ply-V belt option to its product line.
The 25-PVR Belt Driven Live Roller Conveyor provides an alternative to using chain conveyors for pallets. It is quieter than a
chain conveyor, has lower maintenance costs, and can run at
higher speeds, the company says. It is available in bed widths of
up to 15 feet. (Hytrol Conveyor Co., www.hytrol.com)
